You see, day before, United didn't have a bad day, Ronny and Roon had a bad one, Rio wasn't playing ;)

The problem with United is, they have just three players worth their money, with the others chipping in around. Look back whole season and tell me, how many of our goals have been created by Roon and Ronny ?

Frankly, everybody knows you can't win the UCL depending on two. And when Ballack wanted to come, when Machesrano wanted to join, what happened to Torres, Villa ? The list is never ending man.

Heck, look at the Scousers, 2 finals in 3 years, look at their squad, its friggin fantastic to say the least :|

u saw when the ball went out for a milan player treatment and scholes started playing it after that and not giving it back to milan as is the usual "fair " play agreement..... thats the manure game,, cheat , dive and thats what i dont like about ur team :)

You can't blame SAF for that..He doesn't writes the cheques..Now does he?!... Its the Glazers! They are businessmen and they'll pay up only when they see the benefits..

As for individual players you mentioned:
Masch - Untested in Europe, huge risk at 20+ mil
Ballack - aging, not as suited to the English game (and it has shown this season)
Torres - He himself said he didnt wanna leave at that point-in-time..Maybe this year..
Villa - We weren't linked with him IIRC

Having said that, you do remember the Hargreaves saga..That guy's good but maybe worth only 15-million max..We offered Munich 20 mil for the guy but they just refuse to budge..What can one do in these situations?

Moreover, who could've possibly imagined 3 of the 4 first-choice defenders and even couple of the reserves in defence would go injured at the same time!!

We just have to simply accept the fact that even though we have a very good team and a great manager, we were lacking both first-team and bench-strength for this tie and it proved decisive against a wonderous performance by Milan! We were outclassed on the night. And thats that!
 
Tomorrow is a crucial game away at City for us, and seeing our disastrous performance midweek, and given the fact its an early kickoff, City will probably nick something. I predict a 1-1 draw.

Totally agree man...Hargreaves cud have been a good investment but sure, he aint worht a dime more than 15 mil or so... let bayern keep him..dont see how is it going to help them anyways..they are dead this season...:P

Shucks man...i know it may be utterly unsportsmanlike on my part to say this but Milan didnt deserve to qualify for this Champions... they shud have been barred...:no:
 
i think we need to get few facts right before we start a discussion. first thing ballack was supposed to join MAN UTD yes.. but chelsea tapped him up with huge pay offer. meschereno was never approached by MAN UTD. SAF was looking for hargreaves (english player) if not hargreaves then he wanted a cheaper option so that he can go for hargreaves next season so he choose senna but due to lack of decision on hargreaves senna refused to come.
torres will be approached after this season but he won't be coming most probably.
now the thing about team having only 2-3 players. when MAN UTD wins all these talks suddenly disappears. its an obvious thing when the team looses we need to find the excuse. the reality was milan were better team on the day.
now talking about loserpool in final of UCL 2 times in 3 years, i think we all have to agree with jose who said that these teams season end in mid season in terms of EPL so that they can play just 10-12 games in later season thats where these teams are getting one over teams like MAN UTD and chelsea. look at the games we have played in last month or so with our top 11 available. that will give you the answer. our team is looking more and more jaded game by game and thats natural. milan were fresh like hell because they didn't play most of their players in weekend. we played against everton and fought for 80 mins in that game. if loserpool now get some new players and think about challenging for the league tittle ( which they can't :P ) then you will see the same results for them.
it is already a great feet by our team so be so consistant this season.

btw i do agree on the formation option made by SAF he probably should have gone for 4-4-2. but main problem was that **** gattuso. and he was the only reason we lost had he been injured we would have rolled them.
 
for todays game against shitty. no barton so not much of a chance for shitty and i think our players should be pumped up for the derby.

yeh and i heard Vidic and Rio will start for thiis one so good news.

i think he should play evra instead of gabby heinze today......the guy is tired and needs a break.

maybe hell rest giggs and play richardson.

lets hope we end the title race this week itself :)
 
Seriously, with absence of other defenders Heinze has been busting his ass for weeks in a row at the back end of the field. He needs a break. For last 2 matches he was looking physically tired.

^^Entirely....n hey look..in keeping with ur pessimism (kaali zubaan:P ) even the thread title which was supposed to be about united's 'bad' performance in the last few fortnights has finally seen the best outcome of the season...something we were all anxiously waiting for...lol..thank god we all stuck to it.....:lol:

But hold on ur celebrations, boys..we'll only celebrate after the last fortress of stamford bridge is won...n complete celebration after we clinch the FA cup as well...:clap: :clap: :hap2:
