I have read that it does but several other users said it doesn't. I wouldn't bother anyway. One major con would be no Audyssey auto-calibration but that's fine with me.

Nope! I wish someone could enquire and post the details. It has to be close to the 20k mark or maybe a bit cheaper considering it used to retail for 25k previously when the NR1501 was retailing for 600USD.
Bookshelves - enquire with bass n treble. ANP picked his 9.1s from there IINM.
And good news - I got a decent 3 shelf AV rack from Big Bazaar for 1k. It used to retail for 2k before.

How are borderlinx/s charges? Do they give realistic quotes compared to KMD and icc_world? What about customs' duties and shipping expenses? All covered under the 25k price? Where did your order it from? Amazon?

I will not be able to review the av receiver since yet to buy quality speakers. as of now using Z5500 speakers for the surround and its subwoofer
as the powered sub with remote. want to diy the fronts when i get some free time.
Regarding purchase from borderlinx the registration process was simple. it took 5 minutes to login and get the address. another 5 minutes to buy ot off amazon.
The total amount calculator gives all except the shipping charges correctly. initial estimate was 26k but after the purchase it went to 32k with 5 k increase in shipping although i did give the size and weight of the item.
Tax, customs , duty everything was done fine. the item also came home in good packing by dhl.
So i will not suggest borderlinx as best option

I wanted to dispose the z5500 but then though about using its sub with AVR and see. ( for selling price of 10k in seconds its wasting the sub. i will not get a replacement 200w powered subwoofer with remote for that price) .
the sub is connected to avr using the sub/center line of 6 channel input. so its working like a powered subwoofer with remote. happy with its integration to avr.
The four speakers are connected to avr directly for the rear and surround channels.
For fronts i have a pair of speakers from space brand. they will be replaced by bookshelfs or some diy stuff if i manage time next month.

Was planning to buy powered subwoofer sw150 from wharfedale for the pioneer avr, so thought of using the z5500 sub instead as it was not in use now.
using two space speakers for the front channels of avr.
the 4 satellites of z5500 are connected to the rear and rear surround of pioneer avr.
the center is also satellite of z5500 connected to pioneer.
pioneer is a 7.1.
sounds good for the movies.
need better center and front speakers. happy with the subwoofer and surround performance

I just checked randomly for a harmon Kardon 7.1 AVR weight 25 pounds.Came about 16k while the AVR itself costs ~9k

Throw away those Z5500 sats and sub and get yourself a pair of bookshelves from PSB/Wharf/Tannoy and a good sub from polk and you will *not* be disappointed. Those sats are not meant to be used with the AVRs anyway.

Got stuck midway since the final rate of shipping by borderlinx comes after the item reaches them. anyways locally i was given quote of 45k locally here in mumbai.
So don't believe the total cost calculator.

If you are placing any order get the figures and mail them to get confirmation of shipping cost, then only place the order. no issues regarding tax and customs.
