Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds (マーヴル バーサス カプコン スリー フェイト オブ トゥー ワールズ Māvuru Bāsasu Kapukon Surī: Feito Obu Tū Wāruzu?) is a crossover fighting game in development by Capcom. It will feature Capcom's own characters and characters from American comic book company Marvel Comics. It is the fifth installment of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, the eighth installment in the Vs. series, the first to be initially exclusive to consoles, and the second in the Vs. series to use three-dimensional graphics on a two-dimensional battle area.

The game is produced and directed by Ryota Niitsuma, who had previously worked on Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and features the same fast-paced fighting mechanics as earlier games in the series, along with new methods of play designed to make the game more accessible to new players. Capcom has promised three-on-three tag team fighting gameplay and a robust plot.

Release date - PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 February 15, 2011 in the United States,

February 18, 2011 in Europe.

damn excited to play this

Pumped up for this game. The line up is definitely amazing. Looking forward to play on the Capcom side. :)

After more than 10 years since MvC 2, this game has a huge build up. What with a super duper line up of playable characters.

and Galactus as the biggest baddest daddy of all

this one is going to be huge!

Alas, I won't be able to play it when it launches. :( Unless some of my good friends come to my rescue. :D

^^lol...

with SF4 series the fighting genre just got a new life....the genre has almost died down before that for the last 10 years as there were no real good fighting games and fans were living off the games made in the 90's.

now with SSf4 there are major tourney's almost everymonth in LV, paris, oz etc with major prizes.... Fighting games have never been so popular

I am also waiting for 'SF X tekken'...the game play looked awesome and they have adopted the SF4 engine. this too also had ultra's wherein when u do a ultra from Ryu - Ryu does the first hit and the his partner (Say Chunli) will do a full Ultra and then it moves back to Ryu:)

Simply Mindblowing:)

The combos I saw in the initial gameplay videos of MvC3 were awesome, especially Wolverine and Dante's combos. Games like these really demand Arcade stick to gain more fluid combat, just like SF games.

^^U can execute the combos well with good practice even in a gamepad.

I have a xbox gamepad and a Mad catz SF4 Tournament edition FS (Best Sf4 player in the world uses this).... As of now my execution is much better in the gamepad

Agree that if u look at advanced links u get awesome accuracy with fightsticks but u can permorm at 80% with any good usual gamepad:)

and you can switch between the selected players on the fly. :D
whoa that's awesome, i love fighting games and my fav's are the SF and the Tekken series. I wish to give this a try later this year :)

Played a couple of matches in Versus mode and Aracde mode. Dante is hands down the most versatile and kick-ass player. His combos just keep on piling up. I also picked Ryu, Deadpool and Spidey. Got my ass kicked in the Hard difficult in Arcade mode. Was fun to play it with my brother in Versus mode. The animations are awesome stuff. Still have to learn more combos though. :)

PS3 version here i come.

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

Played PS3 version for a while damn there is no such practise mode like SF4

Well...u have practice as well as training mode like SF4 and SSf4...u can practice your moves in training and in you missions u are given specific combos (like SSf4) which u need to execute:)

Personally I felt combo execution was far easier (timing was relaxed and we can afford to have frame gaps in execution:)).... I could perform basic link combos with ease:)
