Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2 - Discussion thread

I want to clarify this.
if any one of the other two members of my team dies in a battle or if it gets a cross mark before its name. Then how come it becomes alive again after the fight ends.

One of the worst port ever. constant sound stuttering and freezing issues

^Just curious but have you patched the game? There was a patch which fixed most of the issues.

Fortunately for me, I faced no issues with ME1 whereas ME2 has this issue wherein Shepard and his squad mates would go into noclip mode high up from the ground. Had to restart the game several times as a result of this. There was a patch which addressed several issues in ME2 as well but wouldn't fix this issue though.

Luckily ME2 loved my system :p Had not even a single crash or bug. But during my second playthrough, shepard somehow stuck up in the air near the area where they meet garrus. I just restarted the game and everything was fine.

^^Yep ME2 is well optimized game.Works well.Though i had played the demo only. i was going to get the ME2 and had plans to skip ME1 but many members over here and TDF told me not to do so therefore i started ME1.

@Gannu
yeah dude patched to v1.02.
Whenever i start the game that BIOWARE intro gets stuck for 10 secs with stuttering sound.after that the game starts. And those ingame sound stuttering and loading problems are also there.
Whenever i patch the game and replace the *it*:eek:hyeah: (anyone knows if there is a perfectly working it or something like that) or make any changes in the game. The next time i start it for the first time it crashes. After that it works ok.

^What are the system specs like? Not a very taxing game since it relies on the Unreal Engine 3. And yeah 1.02 was the latest patch. Are your system drivers updated? Gfx drivers, DirectX Redist. pack and so forth?

PS: Please refrain from mentioning about *it* in the forums. :)

^^everything is updated. some people said reverting back to 176.xx drivers have solved the issue for some it didnt.
anyways as i had mentioned ME2 works a lot better than this.

ME1 is famous for its Bugs.UE3 engine utilized badly.

PS: Please refrain from mentioning about *it* in the forums.
(No hard feelings for you.please dont take it seriously:))
Actually after observing this forum for months i think this statement is kinda joke, lol.

Then again i am playing ME1 just for the sake of ME2.therefore i had to use the it version.lol

^You've got to play ME1 to know what were the situations that paved the way for ME2. Some of them played ME2 first and realising it is an awesome title, they take up ME1 later. Only to realise, the first title misses out on a lot of features.

And yeah, so long as we prevent ourselves from posting about *it*, we can do good from preventing a mod's intervention and closing/trashing a thread. Hence the request. Wherever possible, I try to report it to the mods if it goes beyond the forum's rules.

my bro has played several times on the PC, he never faced such issues.

this might be cause of the wrong it version. you can again *that* the another it version.

BTW yeah, this forum is somewhat easy on the it and that versions.

Actually guys i think mass effect series are not a hardcore or real RPG.Its a game designed brilliantly so that even a TPS genre lover will also like it in short game for all.Even those who dosent like rpgs much will like it.

It seems like that.:D

^Yeah the game is less of an RPG title and focuses more on a TPS one. This was the very first RPG title I've played (not counting Borderlands and STALKER since they are more of a proper FPS with lesser RPG elements) and turned out to be nothing short of an awesome experience. :D

I never had any issues with both the games. Not a single crash or stuttering issue. The only minor hitch which was present in ME2 was the long loading time. It got fixed when I used the Mass Effect affinity fixer. Nothing else I can recollect apart that, which hindered my exerpience.

Well, after having a first "intimate" encounter with Miranda, where she says " that i am not ready , but very much interested" , i went & talked with her again. I had two options " Interested & Not interested " . I selected Not interested :( . Did i screw up big time ?

Damn :( . Initially i had selected " I am interested" option , infact a lot many times. Each time she used to reply " I remember the previous conversation we had , blah ..blah, Rain Check " . Once for a while i thought , what about selecting Not Interested. Man, i have gone tooo ahead after this. :( . Any chance that she will agree again. Or should i play it all over again . :(

Forget about it. It's not worth playing the whole game over again. You can watch the video on YouTube, if you're so keen. Continue and focus on the main storyline and who knows, you might get another shot at Miranda. ;)

Well, you are probably right. But , if its not with Miranda, perhaps i can give a shot with Jack or Samara or the Helmet girl :p . right?

Whatever floats your boat buddy. :p

You have a much bigger mission to accomplish. This is just one side activity, which will be over before you know it. Keep a tab of the critical parts and more fruitful things will come your way.

Haha Abhay will miss out on the uber seks scene!

Aw man that was a good one in the core room. :drool2: :ashamed:
