Max 100 sms free/discounted SmSs per day

I lost 15 bucks as I sent a fwd(big) to a few people(national) and as soon as 100 sms were crosssed, puff.

Infact, Airtel's RC88 advertises 21,000 sms(FAKE< ****ING BASTARD AIRTEL), whereas after buying, you gte the notification of only 3,000 sms a month, 100 per day.
 
only airtel keeping this check, i have sms pack on 2 numbers airtel and aircel, aircel provides unlimited and airtel charges after 100 sms.

Seems like that only. BSNL also not changing anything. Airtel really sucks. They loot the Indian people and invest all their money in Africa and the cable between Japan and USA. Nothing for India.
 
That's the reason I stay away from Airtel. Mom used an Airtel sim a few years back and was the victim of random activations of random stuff I don't even need like some random alerts and caller ringtones. People who go to Airtel for All-india coverage can instead try Vodafone. India has one of the cheapest mobile telephony services in the world. There is a reason its so cheap. Companies make money off other means.

you guys going bonkers over 100sms/day FUP on airtel..!!

the FUP have been always there on docomo, reliance, vodafone sms packs... infact vodafone have 350sms FPU for the whole month... you pay 35bucks for 350sms per month and you also dont ge to use these sms on national holidays and the holidays they think they can cash on..

previously reliance had one of the cheapest sms plans.. 19bucks per month for sending 1sms per paisa (500sms/day FUP). now they changed it to 39bucks per month for same charge with 100sms FPU.

docomo charges 60p per sms for 1st 3 sms everyday and the 97sms after that are free for the day.

loop has 10p/sms but dot sure if they had an FPU before or even at present.

you dont need more than 100sms per day unless you are broadcasting/advertising imo....

u get 350 local sms for 35 bucks in vodafone, if you activate the 98rs pack, you get 1000 free national sms or if you activate the 89rs pack, you get 500sms/day(first sms charged @1rupee each day). I dont think any carrier gives free sms's on national holidays and its only 5 days/year.

I use the 89 plan in vodafone (500/day) and i dont get charged extra after crossing 100 text messages everyday.
 
Docomo charges only the first sms of the day at 60 ps then you get 100 free sms and you get 500 local/national sms per day with rs 38 recharge(all the mentioned plans are applicable to karnataka circle)
 
I recharge mine(voda) wid the 89 bucks sms topup and i use more than 100 smses a day sometimes. I don't get charged or anything extra. Its just that people would have preferred an overall limit instead of a per -day limit.
 
i recharge my aircel for 61 rs ,its active for 61 days and i get some 6100 sms and out of which i barely finish 1000 or so.

in my view,Airtel is doomed off.

its going the way nokia went downhill.

i feel they have to get rid of africa to remain in market.

they have all kind of bad publicity and theose buggers deserve it.

another great pack is of videocon 18 rs per month and all sms @0.01 ps per sms no FUP.

but thier network is not greatest.

they piggyback on loop and its not great at my home.

so no videocon for me.

both tata indicom and docomo are chor with all kinds of fake activations.
 
Just for the reference: DoCoMo charges NOTHING for their 200 SMS/Day, local/national. I use it. :D

Nothing meaning no monthly rental or daily rental or first SMS charged or any other hidden cost :D

Docomo gives you the option of deactivating any service within 48 hrs of activation and full amount is refunded.
 
Also, BSNL has an offer of 13/- pm for 1p/sms. You can recharge with 13/- or send an sms STVSMS13 to 53733, 13/- will be deducted from balance. :)

they will die soon.

our wish will be granted.thay have invested huge amt in africa and it seems their business model is not working in africa.

their current results aint great.

so we may have good news quite soon.

depends how their african business turns out.

also we all can quit airtel from our life.

i have got rid of DTH.

mobile is also about to jettison.

so we all make an online movement against their FUP,other bs,so we can effectively kick them where it hurts max.

dude,

i have called them in few hours,those buggers are so pathetic , they will say it is you who has activated or downloaded this content and you wont get any refund of it.

they have their third party content providers out of control.

i suspect they are doing it deliberately.

come on , i dont even have any of their dive in settings on my phone and i dont even bother about this ringg tones,cbt or games.

and they send sms you have been charge dfor this and this.

what i do is call on nodal desk and get it sorted.

right now i have kept balance of just 1 paisa.

and i will maintain this way.
 
Why are people so pissed at Airtel ?

The FUP limit is by TRI not Airtel . I am using Airtel here in Karnataka and recharge by 52 and I get 500 sms daily . I know Mumbai and Maharastra circle have poor SMS plans .

Reason TRAI later said its been delayed uptill further notice but only airtel is best failtel who implemented it even it been delayed
