The PC Launch Trailer
[H said:]We are so far impressed with the level of graphics options present on the PC version of Max Payne 3. As far as the graphics and graphics options go Max Payne 3 does not feel like a console port, and that is a good thing. We are able to select between DX9, DX10, DX10.1 and DX11 in the game. This wide API support means PC gamers from the low-end to the high-end will have a good experience. Gamers who are able to turn on all the DX11 graphics options with tessellation will receive noticeable gameplay performance improvements.
If you are going to be playing Max Payne 3 today or soon, we suggest grabbing the latest drivers from NVIDIA and getting AMD's 12.6 CAP Beta 1 regardless if you are running a single-GPU or CrossFireX. This will give you the best performance possible in the game right now.
If you are playing on a GTX 680 or HD 7970 you will be able to use the highest in-game settings possible, as long as you use FXAA. We haven't tested the impact of MSAA yet, but FXAA makes very little impact on performance and seems to provide excellent image quality in this game reducing jaggies everywhere we looked. Remember, FXAA reduces aliasing on polygon edges, alpha textures, and reduces specular aliasing as well. When Max Payne 3’s eye candy is Maxed Out, the game can be stunning.
So i i should update my drivers then. Are you going to do the same? What about the other game, if you've updated already. Any Idea? Some comforting news indeed!
