McLaren show off new MP4-21 livery

McLaren Mercedes 2006 title challenger, MP4-21, makes public appearance for the first time at Barcelona. It sports a complete new orange livery which is more likely to get changed before the season starts.

It features a very slim nose cone and more tightened, angular sidepod air intakes. Looks unique and awesome in every aspect. Here's a pic of it. Post ur opinions on this:

The front looks AWesome!!! But the colour sucks!!! McLaren Mercedes has been known as the Silver Arrow... no use in changing that......
 
I dont think WEST was the reason for their silver colour.

Since the beginning of motor racing, wherever Merc was there, their colour was Silver. Remember the legendary 1952 Gullwing SL??

I prefer the Silver McLaren. If they keep the silver colour, that car will be the best lookingon the grid(but of course, the best going cars will be the scarlet ones :p )
 
when is the livery launch ? heard it was gonna be some time close to the start of the season
 
McLaren colours for 2006
McLaren’s new eye-catching livery was revealed to the world on Friday. Like the car, the livery is radical with a new highly reflective finish that McLaren had pioneered over previous months.

The colour scheme remained similar to that used in the days of West sponsorship - dominated by black, silver and a blaze of red – though now it is name of Johnnie Walker that adorns the sidepods.

WOAH!!!! I guess Mclaren want to distract the opposition rather than going faster :p

The c0olours look AWesome!!!!! they rock!!! If only Schumi was with McLaren with Kimi...... It would be picture perfect!!!

only RED is useless...specifically scarlet...yuck :tongue: :bleh:
but if its with SILVER...it surely rulezzzzzzz
so basically its SILVER-BLACK-RED combo which will translate to ultimate POWER and more wins for McLaren!!
