Microsoft Band - Did MS just beat everyone late into the game?

this will be a boon to me, for my daily cycling
will be able to keep better track record of it
Also will it be possible, that we keep following bands installed in our cars / bikes, and later on track their movements when we get bands in our hands
For tracking vehicles and where all they travel and when ... you can get tons of other options which will cost you less than 4-5k and give you detailed info about the current position of vehicle and logged activities.
By cycling do you mean that you cycle it yourself or you have a driver for that too
