  • My 2G is 79 to 83 dBm indoors
  • 3G is 91 to 103 dBm indoors.
How to Check?
Android
: Settings>About phone>Status>Signal strength
iOS: Youtube
Windows: ##3282#
Blackberry:Hold down the ALT key on your BlackBerry and type the letters NMLL in the same sequence (QWERTY)​

Having a repeater nearby means the equivalent of a mini tower. Tradeoff between radiation between phone or tower?

Secondly, did you get charged customs for the same?
 
Those readings are not the same, meaning 91 dBm for 3G is not as bad as 91dBm for 2G.
Could hit only up to 2mbps with that signal range.. When its 75dBm 3G its hits 8mbps.

Thats five times stronger, uh yeah it will be faster...

Point is how low has your signal got to be to drop on 3g ? higher than 2g.

The figures are not equivalent when the g changes. You can hold on to weaker higher g signals but you pay the price with battery. Device heats up as well.
