PC Peripherals Motherboard Question

Hey ...

I'm planning to buy this Mercury 845 GVM motherboard.

What i need to know is what kind of graphics cards will be compatible with this. Will i need low profile cards, or will any AGP card do.

Also, the Spec sheet says that it has an AGP Ultra slot... does than mean a standard AGP 8x slot???

Please see the Attached Spec sheet, and gimme some advice :) .

It turns out that the AGP Ultra Slot is not 8x :P, its 4x.

Fortunately i found this out before purchasing :), so no harm done.
 
the agp ultra has problems...doesnt dupport many cards.. i had to change my Mobo after i bought my 9600 pro :O so check the compatibility
 
Wel i'm thoroughly confused now... Different sources are giving different opinions regarding what AGP Ultra means...

Someone using it claims that its giving satisfactory perfomance, contradictory to the opinions on TechReport forum...
 
I was buying a similar board a couple of months ago and came across the same problem.. Turns out that the AGP Ultra is 8x AGP, however, supports only a few cards.. Other cards would supposedly run at 4x. It's something like the AGI slot on the old ASRock boards

So can u name a few cards that would be compatible?? (i.e. will work at 8x)

The ones i have in mind are ATI Radeon 9250, Nvidia FX 5200 and 6200 ... will these work??
