GSM arena has posted a review of the phone. The phone looks to be a good overall performer with a better than average screen and camera. At $300 it would be a nice phone for the price despite some overlap with Nexus 4.

Unfortunately does not seem like the phone will be released outside US.

629$ for simfree 32gb version i.e 38k~ INR :)
Is there such a big price difference between 16 and 32 gb phone? No point in buying the 32 gb phone when S4 and HTC One are cheaper, but at ~17k the 16gb phone is a very good deal.

Oh, a news article I read stated that a contract free phone will be available on google play store for approx $300

^^Yea that was before the official announcement. Honestly though, the general perception is that the phone maybe too expensive for people to consider it as an option against S4 and HTC One.

So we wont see this in India then :(

Other than the clear pixel tech, the specs look like what one can expect on the forthcoming Nexus 4.

these clear pixels and ultra pixel and such are just jargons introduced by these companies right ?
Like Sony has Bravia engine and all.

if you read the review, clear pixel is supposed to get '75% more light', and it shows but if you use the flash then the difference is minimal. This 75% more light can be quite subtle, if you play with lens apertures in a proper camera, '75% more light' is a slight difference. Sounds more impressive when you say it then when you see it.

its not jargon, its something to distinguish between others, whether its striking or important to you is subjective.

Sony bravia isn't jargon, the engine does make for better picture but its misleading because the picture or movie won't look as good without it on a normal screen which does not have the bravia engine. Also bravia does not kick in for UI, only pictures & video.

The other rather redundant option with this phone is user customisable colours for the back. Why not just provide it with skins instead. people are going to use some sort of shell to protect the phone anyway, either hard or soft and those can be done in any number of colours. Much easier to change and have different colours depending on your mood.

This is only for people who like to use their phones 'naked'. They never drop them etc. Very careful so much so that even after a year of use no scratches on the back.

Motorola has pulled out of India, was it ever a question that this phone will never be released in India?

Its a shame though, the moto razr v3 was the most beautiful phone ever in my opinion, and I like Motorola phones in general. This one looks great too, the only two issues I see are the 720p resolution for a top-end phone and lack of external sd card slot(Thanks to Google im sure).

They have priced it too high. Lets hope the prices come down soon. Also, I read that they intend to bring out a cheaper version for sale outside US.
