forest gump is also a good movie

but nowhere near shawshank.

gump won oscar because of a hype of tom hanks.
shawshank had no such previous baggage.
unknown director , relatively new actors.
but what hell of a movie it turned out to be
 
All the movies that have been mentioned in this thread are very respectable films,maybe some of the fines movies ever made.

For those who have somehow missed watching Fight Club all these years, id say its abt time u watched it.A true masterpiece imho.U dont need to agree with the ideas presented in the film but the way the movie was directed and the great acting of Ed Norton and Brad Pitt(very good in this,maybe his best role till date),the story,music and everything else abt it needs to be seen,cannot be explained in words.The dvd is a must buy until the HD version comes out.
 
se7en and fight club are "pain in the brain" kinda movies where end turns out to be dif than what u were expecting all along.

usually carry good entertainment value
 
nice movie...saw it long time ago.........but forest gump is much better ..and can be watched again.......fight club is one of my FAV..awesome.......yet CITIZEN KANE is still the best movie i liked
