Thats too broad a definition to be meaningful. How late's the work hours ? Typically nightlife begins 9ish onwards. I'd go with saying the venues you mentioned stay open late. Great if you're a teenager or under legal drinking age, not so great otherwise. Yes, there is also the added implication that alcohol is served on the premises.damn said:I would use the word to refer to the collective set of activities available to a person after his work hours, couldn't find any other term.
Not me, my cousins were there for 5 years upto 2002 and told me nightlife then was not exactly in the same league as BLR. But thats nearly 10 years ago now. Had your closing hours been later i'd see no probs beating BLR. Delhi stays open till 3am, its the leader here.damn said:I bet its your 14 year old visualization(you mentioned '96) of the place that puts you in such a state of disbelief?
Preferably one that understands what 'nightlife' means, suredamn said:Either of our claims cant be validated without feedback from third person(s).
Only on the definition of the word nightlife.damn said:Just so I know, was your question the result of a sense of disagreement?
Again none of these i'd consider live entertainment, these events are one off's once in a blue moon.damn said:Hyd does get negative points in case of "Live entertainment" though. Bangalore has housed several international concerts, has way more cricket matches, golf course events, yearly tennis tournaments and the likes.
Consider the disappointment one would experience based on misunderstanding what the word means.damn said:Going about it from your literal perception of the word.

Sarcasm? You almost make it sound like my apparent misuse(which it actually is not, explained below, read on) of the word disclaims everything else that I've said. Also, the word is derived from convention, there is no fixed meaning for it.blr_p said:Preferably one that understands what 'nightlife' means, sure

My sincerest apologies to the thread starter. Reason I kept answering was cause a couple of posters did seem to want to know about the general who-hows of Hyderabad besides the thread starter's query itself. It went from expressing opinions to a debate in 3 posts, but yeah I'm done trying now. Not like him being misinformed is gonna do me any bad.PhotostarSR said:Comeon guys now lets not turn this into a Hyd Vs Bangalore thread!!

If your work place is in hitech city, consider living in Kondapur or even bit further.
