hello guys!!!

i have a samsung note 2 and an ipod touch 4th gen.i listen to both of them but the problem is that, listening to music on note 2 eats battery and if you ask me about ipod touch,i simply hate the audio quality of it cause it lacks bass, which i need the most.i dont care about it as ipod was gifted to me.so right now i need a mp3 player which must have tight bass(and i mean it!!) and clarity.these are only two requirements.i dont need a big screen.and it must come with in ear earphones.if not suggest a bassy in ear earphones under 1k.and if possible tell me is there any way to increase the bass of ipod?thanks

First off sell of your iShit and invest in something better.
a good mp3 player setup inclueds an mp3 platyer as well as a good iEM

You are good to start with Cowon iAudio E2 ,Probably the best sounding mp3 player under 7K,has a a Lot of Enhancements inbuilt to suit your needs, Read The Review here - http://anythingbutipod.com/2009/11/cowon-iaudio-e2-review/ and get it from here - http://www.snapdeal.com/product/cowon-iaudio-e2-4gb-mp3/203801

Then club it Up with http://www.flipkart.com/tekfusion-t...GUHZ&ref=2115356c-4013-4983-ba36-7d3cbc185059 and You are good to go.
Do Let us know what u decide
Dont forget to sell the iShit though

You're likely to see more of change if you change your iems.

The iPod touch is by no means a bad sounding source. Try using the EQ or investing in a music app with a good built in EQ and see if that makes you happy..........the next step would probably be changing your iems (especially if you're on stock ipod or samsung ones).

thanks for the reply.can you please tell me some music apps which can improve the the audio quality of the ipod?and which iems should i go for?it should habe punchy bass and clarity.thats the main requirement.

I think you should search the net for suggestions. I'm not aware of what the best app might be.

I know Denon has a free app that is suppose to have a decent EQ although I read it drains the battery quite fast. You could give it a try on the iPod.

I use FLAC Player but only since my music is in the FLAC format. It has an EQ but I've never used it and leave it off/flat. In my case the iPod/iphone has no bearing on the sound quality and serves only as a transport.

Also I'm not sure if the default apple music player has an EQ. I've never used it on my phone. You could check. I just tried but it only says "no content". :)

With My Combo There will be a significant improvement of course.as you are a still a Music enthusiast and not a hardcore audiophile,i don't think spending more than 1.5k on an iem would be suitable for you, experts (@Ritvik , @FaH33m or @esanthosh) will agree that getting a High-Quality iem as your first one could ruin your experience as the perception of good sound follows a gradual curve.i believe you should start with a modest one and work your way up.same can be said about the Fiio amp, which will also make the setup bulkier.
Unfortunately there is no other player to come even close to E2's SQ within your budget,However i have heard good things about http://www.flipkart.com/transcend-m...FJ&ref=b32e0ca2-cbfb-4099-86a3-0dfdfa806f85.a s for The Choice of iem,may i also suggest http://www.flipkart.com/sony-mdr-ex...8QGV&ref=709b2bcb-8374-4098-ba1a-1663002fd36e

Regarding the selling of iShit,I am sorry i cant suggest anything, you have to ask the experts

It is probably not the iPod or Galaxy Note which is an issue but the IEMs. Also iPod does have EQ but the bad part is that changing it from within music player, there is no option. One needs to go to settings -> music and get it done.

get rid of the ipod and get a power bank... this way you can njoy d music on your galaxy note and not bother about battery.....

See if you are able to get Sandisk Sansa Clip+, it is an amazing player with nice sound quality. Not sure if it is available in India now.

yes fiio e6 will definitely improve your SQ.. it has like 3 settings one of them is purely for BASS..

as for your iTouch try searching som CFW.. they might have some good EQ related features

get rid of the ipod and get a power bank... this way you can njoy d music on your galaxy note and not bother about battery.....
thats also a good idea, you can also try some extended battery

As others have said, going for a bassy earphone might be a better option.Go for ES18 . Costs about 500/-
And it won't burn a hole in you pocket either. :)
http://www.proaudiohome.com/Sound-Magic-ES18-Bass-Earphone?search=es18

ES18.. its a good choice for just 500 bucks
i use same while GYMing.. won't give you a HeartAttack if they succumb to some jerk since they are just for 500;)

Just try with the low cost method first

I am just consolidating the above info

1. Get an EQ app may cost you some 1-3$ for it if its a paid app.
http://appcrawlr.com/ios-apps/best-apps-eq-settings

2. Get a low cost IEM like Sound magic ES 18 which would cost around 500 rupees, and see the difference.

3. Try any DAC from FIIO. (but i suppose the ES 18 can easily deliver good bass without the DAC hence optional).

still not satisfied with the combo for SQ or bass

4. Sell the iTouch and get a Sansa Clip Zip or Clip+ (~3.5-4K), if you can extend the budget you can get a Cowon C2 for (~6.8k) with good battery backup of 50 Hours. (all the above players have expandable memory slots).

the above players are some of the best for SQ but if you are still not satisfied with the Bass then try to upgrade the IEM for which you can seek the help of @Ritvik , @FaH33m or @esanthosh.

I have tried many mp3 players includingmobile intrigated players to el cheapo chinese. soIMHO as far as the sound quality, battery back-up and the ease of transfering files are concerned sony walkmanphones are best.but again to get an mp3plaer within 3-4K we can opt for
NWZ-B172 NWZ-B172F

Sony-Walkman-B170.jpg
