I think the 995 plan is a combo plan with a few free calls and no rental for landline, whereas 999 given you more speed but you've to pay for landline rental and no free calls.
 
I think its high time for MTNL to remove the 2Mbps cap on all plans....... they just keep changing plans within tht bandwidth........

2Mbps UL should hav been available for Rs.999/- by now and 4-8Mbps during night-unlimited period......

I am on UL1333 and like it very much...... but time to break thru the 2Mbps barrier....
 
I'm on the 999 plan and am still wondering if i should wait to upgrade the plan. Has anyone taken the new plans?
 
888 and 1333 plans were special plans that were available only for a small period of time. I don't think anyone can shift to these now.
