MTNL mumbai started new cheap unlimited plans
Unlimited 320kbps Rs 495
Unlimited 512kbps Rs 599

All who had subscribed to 256kbs unlimited for Rs 599 will now get 512kbps unlimited .
I didnt knew that one day i would say this but " MTNL rules " !!

I was on Triband UL 256 kbps @ Rs 999.

On Aug 15th 2009, this got upgraded to UL 512 kbps at the same price!!

And now, on Feb 15th 2010, they have upgraded it to UL 1 mbps at the same price!!!
(However, yet to see the bump in speed. Speedtest still shows the download speed at 50-55 kbps)

MTNL 512KBPS UL for Rs. 599/pm only???

OMFG I'm being soo sooo ripped off!!!!!!! Man, AIRTEL I'm gonna sue u if I dont get 1MBPS from this connection soon..
 
and for MTNL Unlimited 320kbps Rs 495 plan,,you do not have to pay anything for landline rental... it's a combo plan...

I don't know if this will be permanent but my speed doubled since yesterday around 6pm. I'm in the 599 plan as well and download speed is now around 55kBps. Hope they are implementing the plan in delhi as well.
 
All airtel folks call the customer care and demand double speed else give dhamki of leaving airtel and joining MTNL bandwagon :P

Btw, no FUP crap policy as well!

Me getting 2mbps on 599 plan !!!!!!
Earlier i was on night unlimited 749 plan but i have changed to 599 UN . I have confirmed it even on the mtnl site and my plan is now of 599un but i am getting 2mbps unlimited which is worth Rs3999 pm .
Again Mtnl rules !!

I havent noticed such problem , only that net disconnected twice yesterday during long downloading session ( 7gb !! )
 
Even my cousin's getting double speed on 599 plan since yesterday. Can anyone else from Delhi confirm this?

You might wanna change to Alliance if available. A few days ago, I got a message from them and visited their site ( Untitled Document ). Roll over to their tariff section - 1399/- for 1Mbps UL connection + 2Mbps between 12Am-8Am. I had also experimented previously that if you login before 8AM and don't disconnect you may get the double speed for another hour or so. :P

And unlike wishnet, Alliance is available at almost everywhere in kolkata.

Same here from yesterday :ohyeah: I hope this will be permanent :D

(dwn/upl both are going at 512/512)
