MTNL triband Combo new registration..

Hi,

I have a query regarding billing in MTNL triband.

I applied for MTNL triband combo (256 ul) on 22nd July, got the telephone instrument installed at my place on 8th aug and the modem on 14th aug. As soon as the net started I received 2 bills 550 and 630, assuming that it would be advance rental. but this month again I received a bill asking for 550 as advance rental amount. This is the third month and I have already deposited 3600. Is it as per rules or there might be anything wrong here.. ? Just want to ask fellow members who got triband installed lately, did they also get similar bills.

Moreover in my first bill, billing start date is 28th july irrespective of 8th Aug.

Thats sounds wiered...check with the helpline toll free mtnl no. 1500 from mtnl phone or pay a personal visit to your regional mtnl office. Its difficult to get back the money once paid to these guys...
combo plans have no montly rental on CPE ( modem ) only 1 time charge which shd show up in your first bill.
 
anything that goes to the government does not come back but you have to get behind them to rectify it else they will be doing this every time, take some time out & solve this.
 
MTNL is terrible... you will start crying soon. They do lots of billing mistake and no support if you find any. You have to run behind any senior officer to get refund.

Earlier I used Reliance Broadband+ and I must say MTNL is better till now. As far as billing mistakes are considered I'm on the 256UL combo plan for which there is a fixed monthly bill, and some of my friends are getting bills of constant amount every month. I hope they listen to my complaint and sort it out soon.. :)
