Flaunting one's beautiful body in public is considered an obscene and punishable act by the IPC. Why make an exception of wealth, then?Chaos said:^^If you have the dough, why not flaunt it . Nothing wrong in doing so... after all its your hard earned cash.

Yamaraj said:You'll obviously disagree with me, for I'm the kind of person who now rides a bicycle to save the environment. I'm doing my part, and I expect others to contribute theirs.
Yamaraj said:Yes, it does! Obscene display of wealth affects the youth and their inspirations. We already have had enough kids who wanted to be like Bill Gates for his money, and there are millions who do still. Our youth have already traded their mental and physical health for mere wealth, thanks to all the call centers and BPO jobs. They seem fixated on the meaning of life being earning money at any cost, only to buy a few gadgets and look cool in the modern non-culture.
Are there any left who appreciate the nature and want to lead a simple, but meaningful life? Remember - you're not what you wear; you're not your shoes; you're not your iPod; you're not what you drive, and you're not what the corporates want you to be - nothing more than a consumer, a simpleton.
There is more to you than you're being sold.

It's true that he has grown to dislike many things social, political and socio-political, but his remarks aren't always pessimistic or apocalyptic. So many things have been uttered by so many people in the past, that it's also not possible to be entirely original in these contexts. His thought-processes definitely differ with the rest of the gene pool, and even by a wide margin sometimes. But then, he believes in changing himself before asking others to.vij said:His general dismissive statements against politicians, beurocrats, world coming to an end, moral policing etc etc, havnt we heard that before from him....
