currently I am using Assembled PC with configuration-
System Model: INTEL DG33FB
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @2.66GHz(2 CPUs),~2.7GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT

Mostly i am using my PC for multimedia applications,HD and ripped movies and games like-
Adobe after Effects
Adobe photoshop,etc,,
3d max,Maya,...street fighter4 ,gta4,resident evil5,,,and HD movies....

I want to upgrade my pc to laptop and i dont want to compromise with any current features,,
I have 32'' Samsung TV ,,it should connect to HDTV also.
Damage should be between 40k-50k

i would say hp dv6 1211.. 4gb ram, amd turion rm 75 procy, 4650 ati 1 gb gddr3 card, 320 hdd @ 7200, hdmi out for 45 to 49..
and i heard they are releasing the same with win 7.. with an upgraded procy.. if u can wait for three days. prce will be rs 500 higer than 1211..
the new model would be dv6 2005

Dell deal is very good, but unfortunately GPU is bad (ATI 4570)...

Apart from gaming, it is the best thing you can get for this price.

Purely Gaming - HP Laptop with 4650, but CPU is no where comparable to i7 processor

All purpose laptop - Dell Studio 15 with i7 processor

Is there anything else which will fullfill both the requirements?
Good CPU+Good GPU=Awasome

Good CPU+Good GPU=Awesome

No, IMHO in the budget which you have given you will have to compromise CPU.

If your work is 3DMax, Maya side .. .think to get faster CPU and compromise litta bit on GFX. Ideal Choice would be Studio 15 (core i7 model)

And If you game, Think to get good GFX and compromise litta bit on CPU.

Ideal Choice would be HP DV6 1211<?>x

GTA 4, Res Evil 5 are very High configed games as you know. So Don't expect to get the top notch eye candy from any one of the suggested laptops here. You will only able to play games in low to medium (in some cases medium high) details

And As far as the HDTV is concerned, both have HDMI ports and HD rendering is flawless on both of them.

Humm..their is an HP dv6 model with intel P8600 and 1 GB ati 4650..costs around 60k..it should be identical to HP DV6 1211, but with intel processor, but price difference is also large. so your choice.. HP DV6 1211 should be able to run GTA4, on other forums some people have reported that it runs, some reported it lags..

I am having that laptop. DV6 1154tx, purchased 1.5 month back.

Good over all config. Excellent for gaming.

Going to add a review over here soon.:hap2:

DV6 1211 will be able to run GTA 4. One would get 15-25 FPS in 1024 X 768 high settings, IMO. So overall if you see It would lag most of the times

But the guy's gonna do 3Dmax, Maya, Photoshop and stuff. So IMO it would be better to choose good CPU within his budget, right?

Did not tried GTA 4.
But Played Crysis, COD 4 and 5, World in Conflict, Far Cry 2, Gears of war, Unreal 3...
And the laptop has given super results .
In both CODs setting was 1024 X 768, everything High and 4 X AA :cool2:. And avg FPS count came between 25-32 FPS.
Also tried with full 720p resolution (1366 X 768) with 2 X AA. Avg FPS count was 20-30 FPS.

Off-Topic:
I would say just wait for 3-4 days, I will come up with full review of the product(1154tx). I am arranging for the camera to take some Pics. Also 3DMark vantage Pro edition serial:bleh:

And CS, Medal of Honor, Quake 3 and 4 , cricket 2007 also:P

About GTA 4, I think I read the review of 1110ax (Same spec as 1211ax) on net. So came up with those numbers. Also Somebody here in some another thread quoted on GTA 4 on 1110ax.

You are asking about Studio XPS 16, right? Or Studio 17?

Studio XPS 16 is coming with ATI Mobility radeon 3670, Which is fas more lower then HD4650 of DV6 1211 and also HD4570 of Studio 15

Evne Studio 17 is coming with HD 3650 GFX. That's also lower level GFX

Other things to compare too. But this difference is very significant
