Guys, Please suggest me a switch for playing multiplayer games at a common place.
Which device would be reasonable and efficient in terms of speed ?
A switch, hub or some other device like wireless router ??

For the moment I am considering two switches
1. Intex 8 port - 499
2. Netgear 8 port - 564

from ebay.in, as D-link is too costly.

Please suggest.
 
don't go for a Hub .. please don't go for a hub..

The netgear switch one seems to be a nice choice at that price point.

Please google switch vs hub and find out why you definitely don't need a hub.
 
hub- only 1 pc can send/receive data at a time

switch- multiple pcs can send/receive data at same time

in short, get a switch
