My 3G got limited to 1 Mbps

From today my speeds dropped form 4-5 Mbps to just 110kB and upload has been capped at 60kB :no:

Anyone exp. the same ? i am from tamil nadu.

Hey have you tried this and got any favorable results? Asking since you said once that your speeds are also capped at 2048kbps.

This may be a co-incidence but just now received a call from BSNL asking me whether my issue of speed is resolved. I told them that they have restricted the 3G speeds to 2048kbps all over India and it seems huawei where they have outsourced their network maintenance is screwing up. They said they have 'forwarded' my complaint further.

But i am least expecting any results.

I also told them it is all over internet that people are complaining about speed caps.

The max i am getting is 110kB on torrents earlier it used to be 400-600 kB :(:



I dont know how to make the MDMA software to work...when i click the mdma application its stuck at "detecting mobile data device...." see the screenshot below:

I am using the triband modem given by BSNL.

please give the email of the nodal officer in TN.I will also complain to SDE on monday:mad:.
 
^^ I was going to suggest MDMA only but seems you are facing issue with that too. Try unplugging the modem, plug in again and then fire up MDMA and see if it detected fine.
 
dont worry guys 1 of my friend have faced this problem and he called up BSNL ... they told him that BSNL is upgrading there network to 14mbps in south zone and this process will take 10-12 days ... after that it will be normal

I am not sure if the upgrade will help when BSNL buggers have placed a cap of 2 Mbps almost across the country :mad: :-[

one doubt should i be running the BSNL software when i open the MDMA software or should i close the bsnl software for MDMA to work?

So they have capped the speed in the south :S ....when using download magers only i get 120kB/s on torrent its 100kB/s-110kB/s only

You better shut off the BSNL software completely before running MDMA. Because the BSNL software might be blocking the port of modem and hence mdma cannot access the same. Ideally it gives an error mentioning that COM port is in use but you can try the above.

This is bad. Mine shows uplink and downlink as 2048 kbps.

These numbers seem to be skewed across the country and varies with zones :(

Would suggest guys in south zone to complain. Everyone do this i suggest.

Someone can compile the list of nodal officers and list down here.
 
My negotiated QoS is 14 mbps but the signal strength has dropped from 95% to 25% and the speeds are pathetic with lots of fluctuation, i think the nearest tower is shut down or something.

BSNL supplied modems(teracom?) wont work with mdma... mdma supports only huawei, zte, option... and afaik only huawei modem gives details about QoS
