My 3G got limited to 1 Mbps

Just checked my utorrent status from November 10th until today. Total data transfer amounts to 874GB uploads and 754GB downloads. :ashamed:

Got a sim that my friend bought 10 days back. SS of MDMA attached - It is clear that speeds have been limited only on the old numbers or on numbers that BSNL have "shortlisted" as ones being used only for data usage

Oh that sucks then! This is a very bad move from BSNL.

Btw the new sim you checked, does it have the UL plan active?

Wow ....lucky to get 5-4 mbps at the begining.......here in assam bsnl is providing 100-250 kbps to me on 3G from the begining.......

No. Friend had bought to try it out and no further recharge or top up made. 200MB free usage is all its got

Oh ok. Maybe they have limited only unlimited plan users in the south regions.

I think its random as my bangalore sim with unlimited plan is not limited to 1/2/5 Mbps

I am using 4200/6 months BSNL 3G sim only for internet. After 1 month my download speed has been capped to 120KB/s. I used to 250-300KB/s speed before.
I checked my other 3G sim that is used for calling and it still gives me spped in the range of 250-300.
Seems that BSNL has capped the speed only to those customers who uses the unlimited 4200/6 months plan.
I also lodged a complaint in customer care. Did anybody get back their normal speeds.
One customer care guy told me to reset the settings (Which setting i am wondering) as speed might be capped after downloading large amount of data.
But what settings should be changed?

You can use Airtel 3g for download and upload without speed variation......

I have speed up my download 15x faster!!! at Software forum; I have downloaded a small software to accelerate your PC. Each time I tried that, I saw my download speed went down .this is not what I wanted. When I slow downed my PC by placing the cursor in the slow mode…, the download has suddenly accelerated to 10-15 times....And you can use Airtel 3G it have constant speed.
