Congrats,Welcome to the club of FZ35 owners.Its a beautiful camera .I guess with so many FZ35's around we can create a separate thread to discuss about the cam?? I have few queries abt the camera ,i am a noob at photography :ashamed: if the experts speak i would like to learn from them

I too got one couple of weeks back. Ordered it through an online store based in Chennai for 18.5k. Procuring a card was a problem in Mumbai, couldnt find a class 4/6, so had to settle for 2GB class2.
Purchased the original Panasonic pouch for Rs200.
Im loving it and experimenting... i'll surely post some shots in the photograph section.

You can get Class 6 cards easily on TE bro. The Verbatim Class 6 card is available.
Class 2 and Class 4 cards do not allow you to record HD video movies on them.
I have the Class 6 4 Gb card from Verbatim, for my FZ28K. And the HD movies look fantastic! Only poor thing is the sound. Mono!

The seller in Pallika Bazaar goes by the name Solar Digital Cam. His ebay seller name is also solardigitalcam. If you check out his ebay page, you'll see that he has the ebst prices for all camera listings. You know what, the seller wholeheartedly said no for the HX1 when I asked. He said why would you want to spend more on a similar item with just about the same features. I was already leaning towards the Panasonics and wasn't considering the Sonys, but thats just me. If you ask for the HX1, he will show you that. Do ask all your questions right there in front of him, and try to play with the camera as much as you can. At first when I was spending a bit too much time with the cameras, he got uncomfortable, but he really relaxed and let me take my time when I told him that I have to make my decision and buy right then and there. Just be sure to spend a lot of time with your to-be-purchase.

Caselogic Camera Bag - Rs.995/- From croma, even my bag is almost similar to yours, but mine have litter bigger side pouches.
SanDisk 8Gg Class 2 - Rs.1300/- From croma. I think i made a blunder in choosing this class2 card. Many said so. Do i really need to go for a class6 card? How much difference does it make?

Class 6 is a high end card for now. It means you are guaranteed a minimum speed of 6 MBps while accessing the card.

No Croma here bro. Stupid E-zone and Next people do not stock up on any worthwhile accessories. Can you please tell me which Case Logic case have you bought exactly? Could you post some pics of it, or tell me the model number?
I got 1 year warranty from Panasonic, which can be availed either directly through them or through the dealer. Lastly, you should have actually gone for a faster memory card. I mean you'll be recording HD videos buddy and you don't want to kick yourself later for making choppy/blurry/skippy videos for the lack of a fast card.

Congrats phoenix! There's so much to discover with the FZ35 that it'll take up your time for quite a while
Been doing some 720p video with mine and coming from an olde Canon Powershot G2 (320x160 video), this one's quality is mind blowing.
Also got a Canon SD780is for my Dad so will be comparing the video modes between the two cams.
Enjoy your purchase.
Oh, and get a good UV filter to keep the lens clean of dust. Go for a good multicoated one like Hoya HMC, etc (and not any uncoated el-cheapo versions).
