nj_gamer said:Thanks a Lot you guys for teaching me to overclock :hap2: Trust me i had no idea how complex it is.I used to think its just increasing the FSB thats all.Now i've learnt something.I've left the RAM at default volt and speed...I can tighten the timings to 4-4-4-15 when i bump the volt to 2.0.Is it ok? or shall i leave the RAM at defaults?

Dude...No offence but i'm scared to stress the CPU so much man...Scared it may burn out...I had to convince dad a lot to get a new comp...
Also Coretemp touched 71-72 deg while running orthos...When the ram was running @733MHZ @auto volt.So now i'm gonna run othos overnight @666.4MHz @auto volt @4-4-4-15.Will post the results tommo...
Anyways any soft to monitor memory voltage?everest shows 1.8V and ntune shows 2.1...
PS:No AC in the room, bangalore is experience a cool weather now..

@nj, yaar dont worry about frying the CPU, just make sure that in the BIOS, CPU Auto thermal control (or something similar to it) is enabled...
CPU's can go upto 100deg before frying (the Tjunction temp) but 60-65 is considered a good temp
Besides, stressing the CPU like I told you is a one time affair, the CPU will hardly ever be stressed like that ever, and if so then not for as long as the 24 hours to stress test it...
71-72 admittedly is a bit high, but nothing to worry about as long as it was after hours and hours of testing...
nj_gamer said:Well the Vcore is at auto...Everest shows 1.35,CPUZ shows 1.296,speedfan-1.3...Whats the max i can bump my volt to?I'm on stock cooling..About the bios..its some pheonix bios...No idea about the mobo bios
