Nice rig u r getting Quad, all the best. BTW how much have spend totally for this rig.

If you are gonna invest 3k for a TC then why not go for Sapphire ATI Radeon X550 256 MB ? it costs a mere 4.5k
I think its a very good deal and plus you dont get the sharing crap of TC.

What say ?

1.5k extra aint that much or is it ? ;)

Quad , if i was in ur position i would forego all those bells and whistles and lights too (due to budgetary limitations) and get some decent rams and gfx card and psu first. you can decorate ur m/c later to ur hearts content as Diwali is approaching ......

well anyways if u r going to buy a new gfx card in a few months why dont you use a cheap, old , few hundrd rupees ones, pci gfx card ???
and then get a kick ass pci-e gfx card later on.

@GF,
How exactly do you suggest to use a 9800Pro on a PCI-Ex board ?

Also what is X300 Pro ?
Never heard of such a card.

I concur with deejay. If you are planning to sell the card soon, get a cheap PCI card that can power the display. Or else get the 128MB 6200 Turbocache. Its actually faster than the 256MB turbocache card and should be cheaper as well.

@goldenfrag: How on earth would you fit a 9800 pro onto a PCI-E motherboard? Hammer and chisel? :D

Lol, not heard of x300??????
Go to Lamington, as em. I Dint know it was PCI-E sorry :P.
But cmon, 6200 is weak! 6200 TC is weaker! Its like a 5900 Ultra with DX9.0 Support.
Common, quad said the card he is buying now is only temporary, he is gonna buy a good card after december. So its better off with cheap cards or some which can give display. Thats enough for him now.

y dont u buy the 6200 tc that grease monk is selling for 2k. seems worth it.

& i am sure it will be fine since even i had got fx5200 from techtree when i won the tourney & xterminator had taken from me. dint have any complains.

if temporary then get a PCI card , 300 bucks ...... can keep it as back up later , wudnt pinch u ;) , else get greasemonk's 6200 TC , i guess a quote of 2k wud be good enuff , besides its new and wud be with mumbai warranty since Urban Fury's by Techtree and all the techtree's stuff is by mumbai sponsors .laters....

haha stormy , u beat me to it .... great minds think alike ......eh ? ... haha ...

Also since currently i am really on a tight budget only getting my rig.
No Sound Card + Speakers + Monitor.

@deejay - why i am not getting a PCi GPU card coz i have some one who will later
take the 6200 TC from me in around december. ;)

Also I want you guys to help me with how much of a perf diff is there between 6200 128 & 256MB as i want to play some games at 800x600.

Also Reg the PSU Funky told me that the new Powersafe 450W 24Pin works stable
with his SD at 2.75 + 6600GT so thinking abt getting it. [The TP 2.0 will be a bit costly for me thats why didnt want to miss the FSP Bluestorm early but finally lost
that beautiful PSU]

@ice & Stormy
will think on monk's 6200.

@ice - I am slower than a bullockcart ;)
But what can i do my entire rig wud have been completed but the DFI is slowing down
everything else my rig wud have been up by now.

The cost difference between 6200 128 & 256MB is like Rs 500.
So getting the Gainward 6200TC 256MB its for 3950 at MediaTechIndia.

Advantages over 128MB TC
- 64Bit instead of 32Bit
- more mem on chip

I know its too late so say this, and i hate to rub this in now.

But, IT Depot managed to sign up with DFI. Would've been better had you got the Ultra-D from them - you would have got warranty, etc.

Umm, ok get the Gainward 6200TC...

But I CANT understand one thing. Your getting a DFI, for god's sake you should have invested 3k more and GRABBED those OCZ sticks from Funky.

Believe me, you'll really be able to do magic with a DFI+OCZ+Venice...

All the best :D
