My friend told me to post this here and is taken from the other forum .
Sup peeps!
So here goes. As part of my new build, I imported the bulk of the parts from the states [God bless New Egg]. The monitor and the case were too big to ship so I thought I'd buy 'em here. Lynx was recommended by a bunch of people and since they accepted Paypal too, I decided to get it from them.
Before I placed the order, I verified with the online support regarding the availability of the products in question since I wanted them shipped ASAP. I wanted either the 690 II or the NZXT Lexa S but was told they weren't available so I went with a tried and true first gen 690. I paid for it on the same day, the 27th. The order also contained a monitor and a few other goodies for the system including a couple of flash drives to boot off and a speaker.
Immediately after the purchase, the status of my order was changed to backordered. Pissed off, I contacted the owner, Amarbir, to verify. He vehemently told me that the item was in stock and that the backordered status actually meant processing. A little satisfied, I backed off.
On Friday, with still no updates, I again contacted Amarbir and was told that the item would be shipped on Monday. A little pissed off now, I decided to give them more time.
Fast forward to today. Still no status updates. So I contacted their customer support who tell me that the 690 is not in stock and they've ordered it else where and they haven't gotten it yet. I asked whether why I wasn't told this before. No reply. if they had told me I'd have just canceled the 690 from the order and gotten the case from elsewhere. But as I am finding out, they just like to repeatedly lie.
To make things worse, in order to claim a payment as mine, I have to start a thread in their forums with the transaction ID. I created mine on the 27th to which Amarbir responded and acknowledged the payment. The two threads I created along with my user account has been deleted there after I created a thread complaining about their lethargic and completely flippant attitude.
Here is another thread I created complaining about the issues there. Hope it doesn't get deleted as well. So, the moral of the story kids: Be careful about where you buy things from. Do your research, talk to the people first and tread carefully. And most of all, hope that they don't screw you in the bum as I've been now.
PS- If you're curious, the thread I linked to has a complete transcript of the conversation I had with the sales rep today.
Cheers!
