Never dealt with him, but god! he was unquestionably one of the best entertainers on these boards. His comebacks, replies, conspiracy theories and style of writing could make a dead man laugh.

They can create a thread where each member who has had bad experience with him can give his comments giving the details of the transactions & then the mods can give time to Amarbir to respond to them individually or collectively & if the mods are not satisfied, his dealer status should be cancelled

Please check before posting anything. He is not a dealer on TE. Also this is not a TE feedback section, this is general talk. Just because you have had problem with some member OFF the forum we cannot go ahead and ban them. There is nothing for the mods to do here. This thread is just for general awareness.

I think the word you are looking for is "jerk"...

In any event if any member has dealt with him through market section, after his dealership status was withdrawn, please create a separate thread in feedback section, and if it warrants, we can blacklist him, not otherwise
 
After having read so many stories about him at various threads on TE and elsewhere, all I can say is that I am glad that I didn't purchase anything from him.

as for the people who fall into his lame trap, you better take it to a consumer court, until then he wont stop.

btw, he has a shop in Chandigarh, does he behave the same way with his walki in clients too? I think not, I mean those people would have bashed him black and blue by now.

that means that he does this kind of rogue behaviour on purpose to the online buyers only.
 
In such cases ebay is most reliable. Atleast we have the paisapay security and seller has to ship within a deadline, orelse we get a refund and a negative rating for the dealer. And most ebay dealers are really prompt, and ships with a day mostly. Their communications are excellent, and combined with the paisapay security, nothing can beat it.

:( It seems you misinterpreted my sentence ("Its unfortunate that TE made his business grow"). What I meant to say was - Its unfortunate that Amarbir exploited TE as a platform to make his business grow. Its ridiculous to think that TE could somehow be at blame for this. I do have that much common sense ;) Maybe I should have written that sentence differently; sorry for the misunderstanding.
 
^^Agree to that... I ordered a RE0 and it was shipped on the same day:)

BTW: there is a special payment option in the lynx shop. U can choose the option "list on ebay" when u are checking out the product. The lynx guys will then list the product in ebay.

I used the above and got a call from lynx within 3 hrs that my product is listed in ebay:)...

So I suggest u guys use the above method...Lynx does bloat up the prices by 11-12% from their website prices while listing in ebay. But when I had the 20% coupons I was more than happy to go the ebay way:)

Adding not that, Ebay has now implemented Guarantee scheme that says"

In case people are not 100% satisfied with the product purchased, Ebay will give replacement or refund to them.Its applicable on all purchases. So, whenever I buy anything I ask seller to list it on Ebay, so I can buy it with peace of mind:D

So best way of leading with people like Amarbir is Ebay:P
 
This Pretty much kills my interest in doing online shopping, I am better of paying more atleast I have the product as well as piece of mind.
 
That good coz he cant screw Ebay now, can he ? but the point is why buy from him at all ?

there are other wonderful dealers here on TE who can also list the stuff on ebay...

When was his dealership status withdrawn? Is there some thread on this that I've missed? (Also, I guess he was banned from dealing on "the other forum" a while ago.)

I've refrained from commenting about him so far as I've never dealt with him but having read and followed so much controversy about him for so long now, it was obvious to me long ago that deals with him are to be avoided.

His responses itself are a dead giveaway on what to expect when dealing with him and I've often found it amusing to see members spending so much time and effort in trying to understand him :P and explain his actions.

IMO, he is just like one of the regular dealers we have all experienced i.e. always pushing for a sale, giving loads of BS about a product and pretending not to know you once a sale is made. It's surprising and frankly irritating to see that he has survived so long on TE with this attitude.

A TE dealer should be a dealer with a difference. He should have knowledge, repute and service far exceeding regular dealers. With the likes of KMD, mediahome, phoenix etc. on this forum and I'm curious as to why folks would like to deal with him. Or is it just the new and uninformed members who fall prey to his deals?

IMO, dealers much less controversial that Amarbir should be avoided on TE. Dealers like Amarbir are not even worth considering when making a purchase on TE in my opinion.
 
From my personal fiasco with him i understood that the guy knows people will still come to him for more. coz he do have some items thats not easily available and he do have some good pricing for some items. His ego is that much. I only had the misfortune of talking with him for a 2 or 3 minutes and he already said his difficulties online with other dealers. since i was asking for a status, could say... i dont care.
 
BTW: ordered my stuff from lynx india thru eaby on saturday...its tuesday and my stuff is at my place:)...guess ebay rocks but only with coupons when u wanna order from these kind of dealers...

I will never order directly from lynx even if my life depended on it...wait...even more if my life depended on it:)

I stick to brick n mortar stores..... Nehru Place rocks :D

@OP: What's the update bro? Did he get his stuff or not?
 
no my friend is constantly calling him Ill ask him and update you guys . very pissing off seriously . my friend has filed a complaint even on paypal .
 
i always stay away from lynx n prefer ebay.in for online shopping or sometimes ITdepot ( long shipping times though) :|
