I bought a New Apache RTR 180 Bike Black Colour on 27th.Bike got the sticker- "manufactured on 18/8/2009".
I Considered Pulsar 180cc UGIII V4 bike and almost decided for it that I took the test ride and checked Apache 180.It is a Fun Bike or say Performer.Like the Ad says,"Racing DNA",Feels great in Cornering which I experienced quiet well in NH49.I liked the LCD Digital Console with 2 trip meters, clock ,top speed counter and that Blue Background Light.I Chose Black Colour as I liked it better than Police gaari colour white.
On the 2nd day itself ,I covered around 156kms(now 170kms).
Today Morning ,I Changed the Engine Oil(on 160kms before 1st free service) and Oil Filter as Recommended by team-bhp/xbhp guys.First Free Service ,I will leave the bike around 600kms.
Bike will fire off even on slightest twist of throttle. But ,the 4-5 times ,I took the Bike around 65kmph speed or above 4000rpm ,the Vibration is there unlike Pulsar 180UGIII V4 ,I took testride of.BTW ,Me owned a Pulsar 180 2006 .
Currently Enjoying My Ride. The Bike is Actually carrying almost like 2 persons
hyeah
Me Weighs 108kgs).Twice Went To Kochi(n) from where I took the delivery of the Bike.
I will share some sore points I have with Apache 180 too for a Neutral Observation(I am not a bike reviewer BTW!):
Tyres ,given a chance shall be replaced for Better Options.Vibration is not that much of an issue according to: Me,but still ,TVS can make it a little more refined. Then , the lacking of DC Lighting(which Pulsar 180UGIII V4 got) is something I miss in Apache 180 ,Since I will be Riding at Nights as well.Another issue(not an issue!) is the Black 180 and 160 are not so differentiable in First Look.Even the RTR180 Sticker may be read as RTR160 by many.
So Guys , Here are some Snaps of My Black RTR 180(I liked black better than white Apache):
Here is A Video of Apache RTR180 captured by ken of xbhp in a ride to Shimla. The Bike's Agility can be seen :
