My Wife Has Gone Through Gall Stone Operation Today!!!!

Glad to hear your wife is doing well now :).

Some very valid points you' ve raised as well. A health check-up is one of the best things you can do to your body. Its amazing how little (and inexpensive) things that one can do often avoid bigger (and more expensive) complications later. And i am not even considering the mental anguish part.

A couple of years back the family doc asked my mom to get her Lipid Profile, Thyroid and Blood Sugar tests done. She was a little skeptical about it so i offered to take those tests with her (except Thyroid). The reports did us a world of good. My moms cholesterol and blood sugar levels were above normal and i was not far behind. The family doc made us aware of the future ramifications of these results. Two years since, following a regimen of healthy food intake and heavy exercise (in my case), both our cholesterol and blood sugar levels are at the lower end of the normal range. The result - feel healthy, active and fresh.

Although my doc advised me against getting these tests done every year (not needed he said - once every 3-4 years for peeps in 20s is enough) i still do it when i get it done for mom. It gives me goosebumps to think of what would have been the eventual outcome in case we hadnt done those tests. Again how small things make such a big difference !!

Ok guyz, my wife is back at home, she got released today morning, she is good enuff and recovering fast. In 7 days time, she can join her school again. Thanks to all of you for your wishes.

:)

I wish for a very speedy recovery and a great healthy life ahead for both of you..infact for all of us..

I'd like to add specially for you...last year I met an accident and was bed ridden for almost 4 months and was completely depended on my wife for everything. I cudnt even sit or sleep on my own..her constant efforts and many small small things like playing games for me on PC, helping me in EVERY work and she was ready with everything along with my thoughts--just in no time...specially a lot of tiny things just to keep away my stress..
In short what she did was helpful but the way she did everything was the only thing responsible for my speedy recovery. If I can type today with both hands its all because of her....
what happened, how happened, is a long story..

What I m trying to say is just whats in your mind now ;) as the only person after parents who definitely can feel your pain AND CAN SHARE IT is your life partner.... ;)
