When I work more than 40 hours / week, it f's me up properly. The max I have been able to do is 50 hours. I clock my work. So I know how long I work every week. When I say, 50 hours, I mean proper productive work in a flow state / zone. It doesn't include lunch or party breaks. When I work above 40 hours that week, that usually means, I don't have any personal time left for gym, TE, social, TV, calls etc.

How does one do 70 hrs / week?

In my opinion these are some extremely lonely people. At my workplace too, the older generation has always been for putting extra hours, coming on Saturdays (even save some work for the weekend!!!). These guys have no family life, they are not welcome into their own households. Little wonder they want to stick to the phrases like "nation building". My foot, all these corporates give 2 hoots for everything except profitability, L&T or Infy does not matter. I am a 56 year old and would tell the younger generation to live their life before its too late. working hard and earning money is all important too, but a balance has to be there. You will have money eventually when you grow old, but you won't have time and will talk shit like these morons.

people working in media and advertising regularly work 60-70+ hours a week. They are used to it. Even people in hospitality sector work such long hours. Everyone knows no nation building is happening Only building happening is some people on top's bank salaries are growing bigger. The top guys take the credit for everything their underlings do.
