holaaa Guys!!!!

I need 5.1/7.1 surround headphones for around 5k-6K.
For now i got stuck with these many options:
1. Razer Megalodon
2. Logitech G35
3. Creative sound blaster arena
4. Newly launched Corsair HS1.
5. Roccat Kave

heard very good reviews 'bout HS1. wanted to buy but still needed ur precious suggestions and recommendations. please suggest which of the above mentioned Cans will be good.

Note: I dont have any dedicated sound card. My MB is Gigabyte 785GMT-USB3 which has the following audio specs.
Realtek ALC889 codec
High Definition Audio
2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
Support for Dolby Home Theater
Support for S/PDIF In/Out
Support for CD In

please suggest accordingly. :)

Yeah... heard 'bout it but very little.comparatively reviews are sayin that HS1 is better. could u suggest which one'll be better ??

Corsair HS1 is not yet launced in India. currently it retails at $99 in Amazon.
Regarding Roccat, i read that it works splendid only if there is a good dedicated sound card.. as of me i dont have a dedicated one but onboard (Realtek ALC889 codec). will Roccat be able to drive my system??

Infact , Kave's are the headphones that dont really need an extra USB sound card unlike other gaming headphones out in the market...other headphones have stereo jacks only....and they have virtual 5.1 sound...where as Kave's got its own decoders..All it requires is a system which has a decent 5.1 audio on board....it works perfectly well with on board audio :)

But if you have an after market audio card...it is icing on the cake :)

I think this should clear out some doubts...

Having used the Kave myself, I will vouch for the same. Sound positioning is just awesome.

And I am selling mine too :P

Well if I were you - Kave would be the way to go ...The Kave works out pretty good in the onboard audio scenario - I've tried the Kave and its pretty darn comfortable - a bit too comfortable infact (the good way I mean) - and retailing at about 6k those are probably the best cans out there for gaming ..From my personal experience - Megalodon vs Kave - Kave Wins !

You might want to read up on this review too - Pretty neat - Kave @ OC3D

One more - Review: Roccat Kave

:cool2:

Unianimous!!!!!..:hap2:.....

hey guys... thanks for the suggestions...

anywaysss.. anyone knows hws Corsair HS1 is upto??? anyone's using it ??

BTW hw comfortable is kave using for long duration??

Well, I am comfortable with the Kave. Usually spend hours gaming and watching movies on weekends and never had an issue with it. It is padded all over and is a snug-fit.
