Monitors Need a 27" Gaming Monitor <30k

Hello!

Long time since I've posted here. :)

I'm finally looking to upgrade my PC's monitor. I'm a bit outdated on monitors so I thought I would ask here for help.

Assume that i have a powerful GPU , e.g. a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1, coupled to this monitor. I'm not looking for 4K gaming, but 2K or maybe even 3K. I would prefer a Good 2K monitor over a mediocre 3K/4K monitor. But not 4K, IMO 4K cant be really appreciated on any screen below 30" screen. So these are the requirements I need from this monitor.
  1. 27 inch minimum.
  2. ABOVE 1080p, i'm thinking a 1440p monitor at least.
  3. Low Input Lag.
  4. Less than 5ms response time.
  5. Good colour reproduction and Viewing angles. I'd like to watch movies on this as well.
  6. VGA / DVI ports.
  7. Priced below 30k, preferably around 25k.
  8. Panel type can be TN/IPS, as long as the other requirements are met.
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately all 1440p monitors currently available are priced north of 40k. I've been looking for the last few weeks myself to upgrade my 1080p dual monitor rig to either 1440p or higher and unless you want to take a risk on buying Korean monitors, there are sadly no options.

The only monitors that are available at a decent price are the LG Ultrawide monitors. There is a 25 incher (2560 x 1080) at about 19k and a 29 incher (2560 x 1080) at about 30k.

well, im sure you will be able to find something on offer :)
TBH, get a korean panel from ebay. Ive heard a lot of good things about a lot of them.

The LG monitor with its odd resolution, poor input lag and response times doesn't look very gaming friendly. Any idea where i can buy the Asus PB278Q in India? Wit costs and if warranty is covered?

Its got 'only' 1080p :P , i'm looking for a 2K ( i.e. 2560 X 1440 ) resolution minimum. Besides, IMO, 1080p on anything with a screen size above 24" isn't going to look very good. Thanks though.
 
I have been using Dell UltraSharp U2713HM for a while now, I highly recommend it. :)

Its a really good monitor no doubt. But the reviews say its got relatively high lag ( input + pixel response ), how does it fare for gaming? What kind of games do you play on it?

I use the u2711. Its a really nice panel. i use it mainly for movies/tv shows with a fair bit of playing CS and Dota2

I really recommend the Asus 287q listed above. Really good VFM, and i say after using the panel, and even after having played a few games on it.
Have my eyes on it myself. Only if i can find a buyer for my u2711 now :(
 
what hell. what purpose are u buying the monitor surely gaming. use grpahics cards for it. didnt understand let me explain if u want to game at 4k. buy a 27inch or higher monitor with a display port,now connect your nvidia or amd card to it and now u can change the monitors actual resolution to 4k or 2k in amd or 4k or 2k in games on nvidia side. it will be slighty harder to run than 1080p but not as hard as 4k. so result 4k gaming with very acceptable frame rates. above 30fps. the technology is called amd vsr(virtual super resolution) or nvidia dsr(dynamic super resolution). believe me buy a good graphics card and a 1080p monitor. i have 1 lg ultrawide 29inch and amd r9 390x the actual resolution was 2560x1080@60hz running at 4096x2160@75hz. believe me its cool.
