  1. What is your budget?
    • Open to what would be the right choice
  2. What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
    • CPU - Intel i9 13900K
    • Motherboard - Gigabyte Z790 UD
    • GPU (Currently) - EVGA GTX 1070 8GB (Need to sell it off shortly)
    • GPU (Incoming) - GIGABYTE RTX 3080 Ti VISION OC (Bought it here, and on its way! :))
    • RAM - 1x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 5200MHz
    • Monitor - Dell U2717D 27-inch
    • PSU - Gigabyte B700H 700W
    • CPU Cooler - Deepcool LT520
    • HDD - 2 x 2TB 7200RPM WD Blacks
    • SSD - Samsung 980 NVMe M.2 1TB
    • Network Card - TP-Link AX3000 PCIe Adapter
    • Case - NZXT H510
  3. Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
    • Everything except PSU perhaps
  4. Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine-tuning your requirement.
    • PSU
  5. Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future? If yes then please mention when and which component
    • I might add another 32GB RAM stick and maybe some additional storage
  6. Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
    • New Delhi (Nehru Place)
    • Open to online purchase
  7. Would you consider buying a second-hand hardware from the TE market
    • No for a PSU I think (Would you recommend getting a used PSU?)
  8. What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
    • Mainly used for video editing, AI/3D tools rendering, and other creative tools
    • Rarely for gaming
  9. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.
    • No strong inhibitions/dislikes
  10. Are you looking to overclock?
    • No. Infact I've enabled power limits on 13900K, otherwise one can fry eggs on it.
  11. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
    • Windows 10 64bit

Would a 850W PSU suffice or should I look at 1000W options too?
Nvidia recommends 750W, so I have put enough headroom by suggesting 850W instead.

In case you don't know, 850W is the max the PSU can supply to your PC, but because of efficiency losses, it will consume more than 850W from the socket. Even if you are using your PC in some app that utilises CPU (300W) & GPU (350W) completely, you still have another 200W to power other components inside the cabinet. My PC with i5 12400 + 3070 consumes around 375W from the socket while gaming (have the equipment to measure).

This helps! Thanks a bunch, @OMEGA44-XT :)

Also, what UPS should one go for to support an 850-1000W PSU?
APC BX1100 is what I use. You need at least 1000VA. People will often says its voltage regulation is not great & all but I didn't find anything else which was decent near 6k. My friend has a Microtek 1000VA UPS & after a few months, it could no longer handle his PC + monitor load (about 400-420W while gaming). My UPS is 1 year old now, sure battery life has deteriorated, but it can still handle my rig + monitor (~400W) for 5-8mins of gaming, used to be up to 10mins earlier while gaming & upto 30mins for normal tasks.

Ideally get an inverter that's 1000VA+ or at least 650W.

For PSU get RM1000x or equivalent and for UPS get atleast APC 1600 or higher/ Microtek Legend 1600U. (Safe Bet). Because my earlier APC 1100VA cannot hold RTX 3080 with 5600X while gaming, switching from electric to inverter vice-versa

I actually have APC BX1100 right now, bought it 7-8 months ago. It starts to beep for some reason if I'm doing something intensive (gaming or rendering stuff on Octane/Cycles) on the current setup, not really sure why. Btw this is when the electricity's not out, and things are normal. It seems like I'll have to get it checked or maybe go for a higher one, APC 1600 perhaps.

Strange, it is rated for 650W or so of load. Maybe then look for 1500VA+ UPS/inverter as suggested earlier.

Buy a single battery inverter, It will cost roughly around 20k but a lot better investment than a UPS. Considering you are going for 850W PSU then 1.5KV Inverter is needed, I had 1.6KV Luminius single battery inverter and it served me 6yrs before I gave it to someone else (Ofc backup time reduced over the period of time). I can see you have a high end PC that would roughly cost 2L then don't think much and buy something with piece of mind. I took this decision few years back and never regretted my decision.
