Iam all for it.

Lets start a new thread and see hw many are seriously interested then see whats the best price....

My GF works in Dell. I think she gets a 20% discount or something. Not sure. could ask if ur really interested.... not sure how you'll manage transport though :)

edit - I think thats a 25% discount

I dunno about the price cause never bothered to find out. Me no longer interested in this model right now, but I had enquired earlier and the monitor is very much available for retail sale....

btw the dell 2407 is a good prices,bargain all u want,they wont do sheez, the way i got that pricing is a secret but the 2407 with dell employee discount code is jus 2 k lesser so :p im sure wise ppl understand wut i mean

no coupons or anything for india so order it direct n be happy
 
Well i am not in a hurry to buy it as i dont wanna spend a dime above 30K... With 2025WM at 20K i dont think a 15K premium for a 24" display is worth it...
 
well, wait another 4-5 months and the price will be sub 30k. and you need not be in a hurry either since you already have a LCD. I got mine because I was concerned about my eyes :bleh: with me spending 14~16 hours per day in front a comp.
 
^^ if u wait the wait will keep going on. for hardware there is no use to wait for something unless there is something big around the corner like dx10 or what happened b4 c2d released.

Okey i actually didnt wanted to post this and get people hopes higher but what the hell... here it goes... I was with my dealer on sturday when i told him that i am looking for a LCD... he told me something very interesting... Dell is going retail in India... Meaning Dell is planning to open up Exclusive DELL shops here in India and hopefully my dealer will be the first one to have the exclusive store...

How does this come into the whole picture... Well lets just say i might be able to get some real good pricing if that happenes... And the wait... Well i think i will know for sure by the second week of october :D...

But how will it affect the cost id they are opening exclusive stores. Most exclusive stores sell at prices recommended by the company and they cannot stock anything other than Dell. If they wanna sell anything lower, it will be out of good will and at the cost to their own profit margin in my opinion.

For example I dont see any of the Sony exclusive stores selling for any of their stuff for anything lower than the recommend prices or the sticker prices. I once asked for a 1 GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo and they quoted me 8k. jjmehta was selling for 4.3k. I picked if up from Indmall for 1.6k
 
the dell stores usually dont offer the discounts that we get on the online purchases.. but since you know the dealer maybe you can put together a good deal :)
