Laptops Need help in choosing a laptop for 30-35K

What's your Budget? 30 - 35K

What will be your primary usage for the notebook be?
final year college going student. office apps gen movie music

What size and weight considerations do you have? 14" or 15"

Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? Prefer Compaq/Dell/Acer

Any other considerations? Nothing
Confused mainly as to which processor to go for...

Dual core Intels should be OK right?
How are the Turions?

My feeling is that Core2Duo is not absolutely essential...

If looking for AMD, Acer Aspire 4530 is a good buy since you get a onboard nVidia 9100M graphics for 29k.

If looking for Intel, there are many options like Acer Aspire 4730, Acer Extensa series(forgot model name) and one from Acer Travelmate series(forgot if it was 5730 or 5530).
Then there is the LG R410 and R510.
Zenith has many laptops with great configurations in that range.
 
I forgot to mention that Lenovo has a laptop in its G400a series which has onboard nVidia 9300M graphics and it retails for around 33k. Its a great buy for that price.
 
acer 4530 is a good option

in 35k range u can also check the new insprion 15, great config and great vfm!! imo
 
Acer 4530 is available for 26500 now.

There's a Benq Lappy for Rs.35,500 it has GeForce8600GS GFX card, but its not that good in terms of build quality.

Got an Acer 4736z for 33,800/- all inclusive from the 'Laptop Shop', Koramangala, Bangalore.

Config:
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2 GHz
2 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD
Windows Vista Home Premium
Rest: standard config...

Got some freebies like Optical Mouse, Cordless headphones, laptop lock and 2 GB pen drive.

Since they made me wait for 1.30 hrs for the delivery, they gave me a backpack instead of the normal back, which I thought was a nice gesture.

Good deal acc. to me!

Can you please mention the exact processor model no of the laptop?

@ connect - its 14.1" only

Also a good thing in the laptop is that it has 2 GB of DDR3 1066 MHz RAM , you dont usually expect DDR3 ram in this price range
