Need help wrt Samsung LCD 42 inch series 5

We had purchased a Samsung 42 Inch LCD series 5 which during that time had support to play only Music via usb but now even series 4 32 inch LCD TV come with out of the box support to play movies via USB(tv o/p) . Is it possible for me to update the firmware or anything of my tv and enable same support for my LCD as well.

Any inputs regarding this.

You cannot update the firmware if you have a B series, as i have already asked the technician about it. he said that the hardware for the B and C series is different.

Also, which 42 incher is this. AFAIK, Samsung sells 40 and 46 inchers only here.

Damn it , looks like i will have to go for a media player then . Dont know the exact model no its a Series 5 42 LCD inch model

On the side of your TV, there should be a sticker with your model number. Just post that info here.

If you plan to go for a media player, go for a o play mini from asus, will cost you 3.5k only. supports usb and has hdmi output, plus plays most of the files.
