Avoid Reliance even if they give you a free cover. Due to reasons well known.

No bad experience with HDFC, but see if you can get a good deal from ICICI or Bajaj. All providers do allow you to change the IDV, so if you call them up, they can change the IDV for you.

I had atleast two to three call backs from ICICI and tata aig.

None of them Gave Me any quotes for the revised IDV.

Bajaj allianz is expensive by 8k to the showroom quote where even the showroom guy could offer me bajaj allianz @28k.

Currently i am keeping hdfc in the probable list.

Had asked the callback person in bajaj to give me discounts.

If he can improve upon his quote Then bajaj.

Else would be choosing between hdfc or icici.

Just tell the Bajaj people the lowest quote you got so far and ask them to match the quote. They will
<
. Bajaj is good in terms of settlement and have tie ups with major ASS, so you will get cashless benefit also.

I have my Wagon R insured from HDFC Egro and for this second year also I got a better quote from them compared to other companies. Can't comment on settlement or services as I have not made any claim yet.

If any of your nearer service center has cashless facility with tataaig, then i prefer u go with them.. so far no issues with them.

Moral of the story - check with the service center guys in the showroom closest to your office / home, and ask them which companies have a hassle free clearance at their showroom. Call up that company, bargain - yes, this is something most buyers don't do when taking a car insurance -, and go for the cheapest. Again, no Reliance.

#bbthumbhealer hows the settlement/claims process with iffco-Tokio? never seen any reviews for them.

will be asking for the service centers where HDFC provides cashless service.

also thing with the showroom guy is he has no certain inclination ( he says can you can opt for any insurance company but the quote for all of them will be the same)

also would like to mention one thing the showroom guys has an actual insurance premium of 34k but were giving discount of 6k on booking during the month of december .

#ggt,I don't know precisely everything cos my father handles all this, but would like to tell you all my cars in the family are covered under Iffco-Tokio, and *touchwood* there has never been any need for claiming. They give very competitive quotes upfront. For eg. when i had to get my Ritz insured, dealer quoted as 17K, and where IT got it done for 11K only.

I'll suggest u to just have a look on the charges front and then decide the best for you in every aspect like you've mentioned for that cashless aspect.
<

One more thing, showroom rates for insurances are highly inflated cos they charge their own commission from the company, so i'll advise you to get the insurance done urself from outside.

yes #bbthumbhealer you are right, as of now HDFC ergo has all of the mahindra dealers listed in their cashless list except for one which is too far anyways
<

TATA AIG and bajaj allianz continue to quote quotes higher than the showroom guys
<

ICICI has still not reverted back to me with the revised IDV quotes.

so if nobody replies i have HDFC ergo for now.
