My son-in-law needs a laptop in Goa. His present laptop is a Lenovo G450 Core2Duo which he wants to replace.
He is a doctor, a complete non-techie and since I am in Pune, I cannot help him.
The new laptop should have Windows 10 and MS Office lifetime license installed.
I have recommended him i3 8th or 10th generation, 8 GB RAM desired but 4 GB at least, 256 GB SSD or 1 TB HDD and FHD display depending on availability.
Service availability in Goa is probably limited. They have Lenovo close by and also HP. Dell is also there but a little further away.
His usage will mostly be documents creation and Powerpoint presentations. I am not familiar with the relative merits of AMD vs Intel currently.
Any assistance in specifying the right configuration will be of great help. Identifying the best options available will be even better.
Budget lower the better but should be under 33K or so.
Should I consider Ryzen 3 as better bang for the buck? Note that the laptop is absolutely not required for gaming.
