Need opinion on CPU cooler

Need a cpu cooler for my i7-930 for overclocking to more than 3.5Ghz.

Budget around 4k.

Few on mind : Corsair H60, CM V6 GT/CM N620.

I already have the 2*CM LED 120MM 2000rpm fans to use with the cooler.

(Area I live is dusty and very hot in summer(Room Temp >34'C))

Please suggest which one I should go for:huh:..
 
If I buy 1*4GB corsair vengance 1600Mhz, will it run along with the already existing 2*2GB Gskill 1600Mhz without any stability issues.(All will be running at stock 9-9-9-24 @1600MHZ)..
 
go for 2*2GB or 2*4Gb vengeance and it can dual channel along with your existing gskill 1600 Cl9 easily. If you use a single vengeance then it will be single channel with your current ram and can lower the overall memory throughput even though the available memory will be increased.

Thanks for the heads up. Will buy 2*4GB tommorrow. One last question, Is 1700/- for one 4GB vengance 1600 is good price?
 
Its quiet good, considering that the corsair value rams 4GB is being sold for ~1.3k. The vengeance is 1600 mhz, has heat spreaders and oc well. So the 400 bucks price difference is totally justified.
 
RE: CPU Cooler.

I strongly recommend Cooler Master H60 (goes for around Rs. 4k-5k max). Its a pretty basic liquid cooler, one fan setup that can be enhanced with one additional fan for some amazing performance.

If ur tight on budget AND wanna cool ur i7, this is the best option to go for imo.

Sire, there is no such model I think you meant the Corsair H60.

The performance is decent when compared to top of the line Air coolers such as Noctua and ThermalRight Venomous X. Also depending on fans they tend to get noisy over time.

I would recommend OP goes for the Noctua NH-U12P-SE2 ~ 3900/- http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1196/1/ / http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/noctua_nhu12p/ OR its elder brother the Noctua NH D14 ~ 4700/- http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1801/6/ / http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/noctua_nhd14/.

My Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo keeps my stock Core i5 2500k @29-32C at Normal usage and @ 49-50C under 100% load - Prime95 stress test for 30 mins, and tested by "MediaCoder x64" too..

Not sure if it'll help heavy overclocking. But @ >2k, its best =D
 
Cooler Master H60 all the way! and if u want more bang for ur buck than put another fan on the opposite side of the Radiator it'll really shine that way. as far as the V6 and other are concerned, they simply cannot beat a liquid cooling system.

On the flip side, the V6/ V8 coolers look sweet if ur into showing off

btw I prefer the relativly small size of the H60... aircooled heatsinks seem bulky imo.

Bulky or not, performance is a language we speak, I will not recommend a cooler just because it is silent OR compact, it has to perform decently too unfortunately the Corsair Hydro series is exemplified here.

Ihave this config

cpu : amd phenom X2 555

mobo : BIOSTAR TA785G3 HD

ram : 12 GB 1333

gpu : radeon HD 5750

I can unlock my core to X4 that makes the dual core into quad core .It somtimes hangs a lot becoz of unlocking and also temp raises to about 5- 10 degrees ,so do i need to change my cpu heat sink fan if yes please suggest me one.
 
Abhijit maybe you need to tweak your settings more in unlocked form, probably just the voltage but im not familiar with amd setups. Get it sitting stable in X4 mode and see what temps are like when you are stability testing it (Prime 95 ... OCCT) If the temps are crossing the recommended upper limit you need to look at an after market cooling solution.

On another note intel 4 core HT stuff like 2600K i7 920 produce a fair bit more heat than stuff like 2500K, imo you need something with better performance than hyper 212 to get the most out of it. Ven X is a good option if you have that sorta budget, D14 is slightly better performance but its humongous and may not sit on all boards easily and can be incompatible with rams that have tall heatsinks. I definetly recommed having a look at Cogage true spirit, its a budget cooler but very very capable and I would look out for the new True Spirit 140 from thermal right should be another budget performer.
 
Guys am getting i7 2600k ,gigabyte Z68xp ud4 and corsair vengence 4gb*4 ..am planning to grab N14 cooler..just wanna know whether it anyway disturb the ram heat spreaders/spikes.... if so please rec me some alternative but performs same or better

....thanks...
