guys my problem is that i m not able games like Mass effect 2,batman 2 ,the elder scroll skyrim 5,

even at low graphics,i m only interest in the game performance and not graphics(medium).whenever i play these games my cpu temperature shoots up and screen hangs for sometime till temp comes to normal, and also sometimes both cpu and gpu temps shoots up and same thing happens and most of the time game crashes . im facing this problem with most of the latest games 2011,except Mass effect 2 which i was able to play only for 5minutes and crysis 2 for 5minutes without interruption

So what should i do ,should buy cpu cooler or leave it as it is

i think i shloud buy cooler , im in no conditon to new system

please give your suggestion

budget -Rs.3000

Thermalright Ultima-90i @Rs.2175

is this will be ok for overclocking

^^ What is you cabinet? How are the fans oriented [how many pull in air and how many blow out] and how are they positioned?

And if you are strongly thinking in investing in a CPU cooler, I recommend you go for the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ~ 2400/- OR Cooler Master N620 ~ 2800/-.

Hope this helps, Sire. Cheers!!

^^ can you post a screenshot please and shut your cabinet [it improves the airflow], how many points on your cabinet can fans be placed and what size?

^^ Okay Sire, first, clean your cabinet there is a lot of dust inside it [dust traps heat, reduces effectiveness of passive heat conductors, heat-sinks etc.]. Next up arrange your cables properly right now they are a proper mess and aren't doing anyone a favor.

Now you still haven't told me how many fans you can affix on your cabinet. There is only one fan port I can see, does that support a 120mm fan OR no.

Next please shut the cabinet, this will reduce the amount of dust accumulated inside the cabinet and it'll improve air flow inside the cabinet.

On idle mode use Speedfan OR other similar software and post screenshots of idle as well as load temperatures [if possible] please.

Don't over-clock your CPU OR plan to do the same as of now. First you need to get these things sorted out [clean the cabinet and improve airflow, cable management] and then only can we proceed. Also while cleaning if you want to reapply TIM on CPU please follow the following guide --> http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2009/02/16/all-about-tim/1.

Here is how to arrange cables properly inside the cabinet --> http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005/07/12/cable_tidying_guide/1.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

i can affix only 1 fan that is what you can see in the i upload photos i uploaded

i have recent applied silica gel approximate 4 months ago, i m not sure about that gel so im upload it photos please let me know

^^ Okay whatever that paste is Sire, it is not doing a good job I'm sorry, get a decent thermal paste Cooler Master HTK-002 ~ 125/- http://www.theitdepot.com/details-Cooler+Master+Thermal+Compound+(HTK-002)_C10P4760.html is what will do well for you.

apply it properly and follow these steps --> http://www.maximumpc.com/article/howtos/howto_install_cpu_and_apply_thermal_paste / http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2009/02/16/all-about-tim/1,

and then manage your cables using this guide --> http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005/07/12/cable_tidying_guide/1.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

may be thats the problem ,and from the day i applied it to my graphic card ,its temp has came down but after 60 deg it show display driver failed error and same is for my cpu , i ll check it

Yes I think definetly that paste is not good enough, also clean the system properly with a blower and the stutter you are facing is possibly because of a lack of ram. Do you have one stick of 2 gb or 2 1gb sticks ?

#gunjan.singh548, do re-TIM your GPU and CPU properly following the guide suggested by ALPHA17.

Also are you on the latest GPU driver.

no i havent applied TIM ,because i cannot find

Cooler Master Thermal Compound (HTK-002) anywhere they always the same nepali branded TIM

please can you help find out store in mumbai which has

Cooler Master Thermal Compound (HTK-002)

sorry i dont trust online shopping and it would take atleast 3 to 5 days for delievery and i also want it to be discret so that

my family member doesnt know about it

You can get it at Primeabgb or theitwares @lamington road,Get Arctic cooling MX-2-450rs rather than CM HTK-002.

Get another 2gb stick ..... that way you will be running the ram in dual channel mode I think it will help a LOT if not solve all your stutter issues.

^^ Almost all major Lamington Road enterprises should stock it, I'm not from Bombay Sire, I reside in Bangalore because of college.

These Thermal pastes should be in your modest budget --

Cooler Master TK-002 ~ 125/- [starting price and the righ price, some smart dealers try to peddle them to fools for ~200/- due to the brand reputation, so be careful],

Tuniq TX-2 ~ 250/- [you will find this is one of the better pastes and I myself use this currently, should come for a maximum of ~300/-].

Let some Bombay guys pitch in to help you. Cheers!!
