CPU/Mobo Need suggestion for Mobo supporting 8 GB RAM

Hi,

My Friend want to upgrade his computer.

Basic requirement is mobo having support for 8gb ram.

His budget is 6K, not more then that.

Please suggest me mobo. Gigabyte and Asus are preferred brand.

Please do mention price of mobo.

I am open to AMD also but Intel is preferred by my friend.

any motherboard with a decent chipset (not G31 it supports only 4gb ). GO with AMD for now with their Phenom II series not Phenom.

Biostar TA790GX 128M is a personal favorite of mine for budget systems.
 
Why do you need 8GB of RAM?
List the primary use of this computer as well as total budget for all the components you are buying(since you're open to cross platform suggestions im assuming you are buying atleast a CPU along with this motherboard).

Total budget for CPU + Mobo + RAM is max 15k.

Right now he will install only 4 GB of RAM.

My friend is tester in software industries, so he need to run some load testing tool which create 1000 of user, for which he think that he might needed more ram for more users.

So first he is going to give shot on 4GB and still if it not suffix his need than he will add more 4GB latter on.
 
U can Use MSI 8D memory lover:Supports 8Gb of DDR2 ram and 16 Gb of DDR3 ram.It's a board specially made for memory lovers.
