Need suggestions for headphones..budget 3-5k

I was closely following this thread...just did not want to hijack it and hence did not post.
I took you ppl's suggestion and bought Koss portapro and I have to say that its worth every penny! I just love it! But I got it from ebay for 3k whereas in amazon.com its being sold @ 30$
...anyway, after listening to it all my sadness went away! 
But I have a question! Do I need to buy an Amp for this? coz one of my friend told me that its of high impedence (60ohm) and hence I need an amp to support it...is it required???
If required, then which amp should I go for? Fiio E5 or Fiio E3 or anything else?

Its its portable then an amp will help a bit. If its from a soundcard on your PC then mostly no.

the source is my PC only, but its an onboard 7.1 sound card, not a good internal sound card!
and the volume is coming very good..like its very loud even @30% of the full volume...but buying a Fiio E5 will help in that case?will the quality of the sound improve with an amp?
