I am in the market for a 250 gigger. probably go with a samsung SP2504C. Really found this drive to be great. runs pretty cool too. Sorry to OT, but is there a group of TE'ites going to lammy soon? Wouldn't mind...

You referring to the StorageReview forum thread? No issues.. go read the entire thing.. it's a serial number issue, IIRC.

i duno if it will be right to go for the 7200.10 series .. hope they dont have hidden flaws or stuffs.

throw away that old 40 gigger... good riddance I say. Only reason for a 40 gigger is if you're using linux or something and need a discrete HDD

Wokay! XFactor and I will be coming together. BTW, where are we buying the hdds from? Or do we check prices in a few shops?

Picked up the drive for 5150 @ Prime. Ran into Soulfire there as well.

Long test in HDTach: Connected off the NF4 native SATA controller, with the 1.5GBPs jumper removed.

techhead..wht does that connected off and something 1.5gbps jumper stuff means??????

and btw congo guys for your new disc...u 3 ppl got it?????

^There's a jumper on the drive, which you have to remove to enable 3 GBPs operation.. if the jumper is left on, it limits the drive to 1.5GBPs ops.

Yeah, the 3 of us got it, but zhops got a PATA drive :P
