hehehe...the adventure continues :P Got a pata drive :ohyeah: Anyways, I'd gone there yesterday, and nirmal agreed to take it back and give a SATA hdd. But a friend needed a pata hdd, so I kept that as well. ( have 640gb @ home right now :D)
Both pata and sata have the same speed. :D Both post HD Tune screens later
 
Well, this time they quoted a price lower than anyone else, however as it turned out, it was a PATA drive, had only one one available, so techhead and I got ours from Prime for a bit more.
 
Anyone knows where to get this new 7200.10 320gb Drive in DELHI pls.. Need 2 drives urgently. checked with Fortune Marketing but they don't have it in Stock at the moment.... any other references pls..??

i too want to buy a 320gb hard disk in the coming week, so which shops on lamington road are trustworthy? also would you guys recommend a seagate or a hitachi hdd?? i'll be buying the external casing for it to use it as a mega pen drive
 
go for seagate 7200.10 series 320 gb sata 3 gbps 16 mb cache buffer drive for 5350 rs ..

this thing has just 2 platters with each of 160 gb :ohyeah:

the performance is up there with raptors .. and its based on new perpendicular technology ..

my friend is telling its great drive for performance ..
