13 Teams to be accepted
Budget cap of 40M pounds offered to teams, those accepting will get following benefits:
- Allowed to run constantly adjustable wings
- engines with no rev limit
- more powerful KERS systems
- unlimited out-of-season track testing with no restrictions on the scale and speed of wind tunnel testing.
Other 2010 changes for all teams include the expected ban on refueling and tyre warmers, and an increase in the minimum car weight from 605 to 620kg, a move designed to offset the disadvantage heavier drivers face when running KERS.
Ban on refueling, that should have interesting repurcussions. Maybe they should explore alternative sources like bio fuels too. No I am not asking a cow to poop in your favorite car, talking about jatropha and algae for instance.
And what about high revvs? I suppose they increase the torque, right? There has to be a catch here, they cant just hand it over like that unless it effectively has no real benefits
