Apprentice
I'm building a new PC and I have a few questions based on, the prospective part list:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 (X?)
The difference doesn't seem worth paying 1k more for the X, but I'm open to suggestions.
Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36
Is a Deepcool AG/AK 400 better? Or any other cooler? I don't want AIO's. Not a fan of water in the PC.
Motherboard: ?
This is a major confusing point for me. I've read so many reviews. Tbh my main requirements are good service in case its needed(I live in Mumbai) and at least 4 Sata connectors. I've had good experiences with Asus and Gigabyte service in the past. But currently the good B650 motherboards are ASRock and MSI. Hows the service like for those two? The ones i was thinking of were the B650M Pro RS or MSI Pro B650M-A. For Gigabyte, what is a good option? The B650M Aorus Elite AX Wifi?
RAM: DDR5 16GB x2 6000 CL30/32
This is all I have here. Get a known brand of 16 x2 with CL 30 or 32. Seems like Adata is the cheapest one at 9.2k ish.
SSD: WD SN 770 1 TB
I already have a 2+1 TB HDD and 2 SATA SSD's that I might use.
Cabinet: Corsair 4000D Airflow
My primary contention here is cleaning. I live in Mumbai in a dusty area. Cleaning is already a nightmare without adding humidity to the mix. Every alternate building is being redevloped...and thats before considering the road concretization and Adani knocking down most of Dharavi. The main reason i choose the 4000D is ease of opening the panels and removable dust filters on all openings. None of that 'the cabinet mesh is the dust filter!' nonsense. Are there any other good cases that fit my requirements? Fishtank cases arent my thing, and as mentioned earlier, I need room for at least 1 3.5 inch drive and 3 2.5 inch ones.
PSU: Corsair RM750e ATX 3.0
I already made a thread about this, which sorta made me decide on the Corsair RM750e ATX 3.0. It comes with a 7 year warranty and I have experience with Corsair customer support and its been good. But I'll ask again, in case I get some new perspectives. Is it worth considering any other PSU? Like the MSI MAG A750/850GL? Specially since the 850GL is more affordable considering my GPU choice.
GPU: 4070 Ti Super
Last but not the least
Tbh my current monitor is a 1080p 75 hz one and I have zero plans to buy a new one until this one dies. So I know this GPU is overkill for 1080p gaming, but I generally don't upgrade parts constantly. I used a 3GB 1060 for the past 8 years. Knowing this, would a 4070 Super make more sense? I wanna stick with Nvidia since most people buy it, I know there will be good software support by game companies and Nvidia themselves.
And a last generic question about online buying. I've usually bought my PC parts in person from PrimeABGB or other shops in Mumbai. But now that pcpricetracker.in exists, I can see that some parts are decently cheaper in other shops. Also some parts just aren't available in Prime. Hows the packing and delivery from these shops? Even Prime. They offer free delivery in the state which saves me a taxi ride.
