New Gaming PC within a budget of 50k Max

Hello guys,
i am new to this forum although i have been an avid reader for many days.I am planning to buy a new gaming pc in January(Budget a max of 48k).I have shortlisted the following items-

Core I3 540 3.06 Ghz Rs 5400/-
Asus Intel Motherboard (Model P7H55-M LX) Rs. 4390/-
Corsair 2x2 GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM 3500/-
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 @ 1TB SATA Internal Hard Drive Rs.2700/-
Sapphire HD 6870 (From Lynx as I dont think I can get it as cheap from Kolkata ) 14660/-
CM Elite 430 2600/-
Corsair 550vx 4900/-
Samsung P2250 8500/-
I already have a mx518 and comfort curve keyboard,LG GSNH2250(Not so sure about exact model no.) and creative 2.1 speakers
Now I have a few questions regarding this build
will i3 540 be enough not to bottleneck the HD 6870 at full Hd resolution
Can I fit the hd 6870(9.5 in) within a Zebronics Bizli?(If yes I will go for the Bizli)
I think I can extend the budget to max 50k
Is this build good enough?
I am open to both intel and AMD
and not ready to compromise on HD 6870.Can I expect the gtx 560 to be out by Jan?
If so what might be its price range?
Should I go for the Benq E2200HD considering its a bit cheaper with HDMI (Only if the picture quality is comparable to P2250)

I stay in Kolkata so can someone from Kolkata someone tell me where I can get all the stuff(xcept hd 6870) from the same shop?

AMD Phenom II x4 955BE @ 7.2k
MSI 880GMA E45 @ 5.5k
G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL7 @ 4.7k
Sapphire HD6870 @ 14.5k
Seagate 1TB 7200.12 @ 2.8k
Seasonic S12II 520W @ 4k
NZXT GAMMA @ 2k
Samsung P2250 @ 8.5k

Total - 49.2k

Get a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB -11 k

vx 550 - 4.5k

a P55 chipset mobo -4.5k ~ 5k

i3 540 -5.2k

seagate 1 TB -2.7k

CM Elite 430-2.6k

Corsair 2x2 GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM 3.5k

dell U 2311H -14k

Total 48.5 ~ 49k

Thanks a lot guys.
Iam not exactly sure if I can get the Gamma and Seasonic PSU in Kolkata. If not can I go for Zebronics Bizli?(provided that it can accomodate the HD 6870)
I think I am going for vx550 even if it costs a bit more due to that fabulous warranty(I am also planning on OC ing the 955 in the near future for which I need the overhead)
Can anyone form Kolkata tell me if I can find all this stuff in MD Computers?
I think I will go for corsair 1333Mhz coz with the 955 I don't need 1600 MHz RAM to OC

Umm I will go for HD 6870
But more importantly will the i3 540 bottleneck th 6870 at full HD?
The Dell monitor is a bit too high end for me.
I want a 22'' monitor coz even if my GPU can't run any game buttersmoothly at full HD i can fall back to 1600*900 with AA and not feel down which might not be possible with a 24'' monitor

"But more importantly will the i3 540 bottleneck th 6870 at full HD?"

looks like it... Have a look here... You'll need to get at least a i5 760 to be able to utilize the maximum potential of your 6870..Though the frame-rates are still generally acceptable at 1600*900... Also this is when comparing at base speeds, and I am aware that the i3-540 does overclock like crazy !!!

Bench - CPU - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

Also I remember reading in article at tomshardware.com, which concluded that a i5 750 running at 2.66 GHz wouldn't cause any bottleneck or infinitesimal bottleneck as such when coupled with a high-end card...

It is always suggested to couple hardware with almost the same class of performance when building a PC, otherwise you end up having a PC having it's full potential under utilized due to a specific component.

Components Description Price (INR)
Processor AMD Phenom II X4 955BE(3.2Ghz, 4 cores, 6MB L3 Cache) 7250(SMC+Shipping)
Motherboard MSI 880GMA-E45 5350(SMC+Shipping)
RAM GSkill 2x2GB F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL 1600MHz Kit 3600(SMC+Shipping)
HDD 1 TB Seagate 7200.12 2800
GPU MSI Talon Attack GTX460 1GB GDDR5 13750(shipped from SMC)
Monitor Samsung B2230 8200
Cabinet CM Elite 430 2600(shipped from SMC)
PSU/SMPS Corsair VX550 4750
Total 48300

Shipping for CPU+Mobo+RAM ~Rs.300-350 in total is my guess.

The HD6870 seems to be out of stocks with most dealers. So the GTX460 Talon Attack should be a decent alternative for that if u cant find the HD6870.
Also IINM Lynx prices are w/o TAX so with 5% tax it would be 15.4k + shipping.

Thanx alot DarAngel
But I am planning to buy this machine by January(need to save from salary :D)So I guess I would get the 6870 at reasonable rates by then.I will go for Nvidia only if the Gtx 560 launches by Jan at around 15k.Other than that the config is okay.Is the picture quality of B2230 comparable to that fo P2250?Do you think that NZXt Gamma is a better option than Elite 430(the 500 bucks I save on the Gamma can be used to buy some high cfm 120mm fans)
Besides I checked with Lynx. The HD 6870 comes to around 14800 without shipping

Its too early to decide on components now if u are planning to get it in Jan. Better start to narrow down only 7-10 days before purchase as prices change dynamically and new components would be released by then. :)

Buddy, Lynx prices are w/o TAX unlike most other websites which has VAT inclusive prices. So u have to add 5% VAT to prices. Once u login and add to cart and check u can see the price says excl. tax.

But what do you guys say if I go for Phenom x4 955 and MSI 880GM-E45 will it give inferior gaming performance to the i5-760?

BTW where can I get the seasonic psu in kolkata?

I am planning to ship the GPU only as it will never be cheaper in Kolkata than Lynx

Bloody buggers at Technocrat quoted 16.4k for xfx hd 6870

try shops at chandni thats where u get all such stuffs...

u might find it there.

also make sure to also check prices of the graphics card of several brands,u might find a cheap one.

just suggesting!!!

For your Gamma query, the Gamma is a much better cabinet in the sub-3K range, even better than all the Cooler Master Elite series cabinets ~ better airflow, more fan support and a toolless design coupled with the slightly cheaper price it is better to get the Gamma and add two Cooler Master SickleFlow fans for a total of ~ 2.8K max ( atleast in Bangalore )

For your CPU dilema check the following link :), hope this helped
Bench - CPU - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News ~ AMD 955 vs. Core i5 760, I think by the time you buy the PC in Jan it will be better value and practical for you to get the AMD Phenom II 970 B.E. or a hex core :)

Few suggestions here
1. buy hexacore amd phenom II x6 1055t for rs8800 instead of 955BE
2. gskill 4gb ddr3 1333 mhz for 3100
3. Corsair 550vx is necessary- rs4700
4. asus m4a88t-m instead of msi since u are getting a 6870 anyway! cost rs4700.

nzxt gamma is 2.1k. elite 430 gets congested with longer card!!! even though the specs say otherwise!

Thanx guys.

The PhenomII 1055t is a bit too expensive for me.I am mostly into gaming and the day when almost all games are all heavily multithreaded to use 6 cores is a bit too far away(except for the Far Cry2 which was quad core optimized) Is the Asus M4A88t even better than MSi 880M-e45A with its mil grade solid caps and pretty good layout(I checked out the review at techpowerup)

Now if the 970 BE comes in my budget it will be very nice

Now this is some very nice info from mrcool63(I liked the design of elite 430 with transparent side panel more but this is some serious issue with the space.)

thanx to you guys again

Get the MSI 880GMA-E45. Comes with USB 3.0 and Sata 6Gbps ports.

Thanx DarkAngel.I was also leaning towards the msi as the build quality of their midrange boards is better than the competition.I saw the review of both mobos. Now how is the A.s.s. of msi compared to Asus

dude i wanted to adjust the mobo to the budget. Asus has a no holds barred warranty. even corroded, rusted mobos are repaired.. check their site. Msi is off there.

Look the msi board has sata 6gb/s ports and asus doesn't. but thats not important bcause there is only a very marginal increase in the speed on sata2(3gbps) and sata3(6gbps) ports. about 5-6%. and further only SSD's utilize the full potential of the 6gb ports and not sata drives. Further majority of the drives today are still sata2 and very few sata3 drives

Buy HDD from local dealer ONLY!!! in shipping the hdds go all bonkers...

Another point is the pcie 16x ports. both have only 1.
so go for asus. but finally left to u man. u decide.
and dude u can get the the x6 1055t on ur budget. better to have good proc..

USB3 has same issues as sata3.. not completely utilized still.
That is why buy good proccy and later upgrade mobo if needed!!

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

good alternatives for mobo
1.GA-880GA-UD3H
2.gigabyte 880gm-ud2h

dude it all boils down to ur budget. if u can spare the money buy the msi board(great board) or else buy the asus board(slightly less features).. but dont compromise on the proccy.. try to get x6 as much as possible.
