Audio new headphones @ 2k

i need a good over the head headphones !

they should be comfortable and i want then for gaming ! please suggest some good ones !

i have a4tech hs-800 and logitech g330 in mind !

but i want comfort and bass and mic !

i can extend upto 1k more if i get 5.1 ones :)
 
5.1 ...head set only makes better gaming and movies experience, IF the headphone is good, a 5.1 iball that i tried(3years back) was worse than the stereo headphones in its price range even in movies and games, because for gaming and movies, bass, mids and soundstage also make a huge difference. moreover a 5.1 headphone my have 6drivers each ear but still may not be able to reproduce a surround setup.

thats why unless you get a good surround headset dont go for 5.1.

the cheapest gooood HP is Roccat kave. available for 6K (if you search hartedly around 5K)

if you can not spend that much, go for JVC RX700 for 2.5K imported by GlobalEasyBuy (using discount coupon)
 
no mic in jvc :( , and i prefer nehru place over ebay !
Also how are steel series 3h and plantronics 377 ! Please keep in mind that gaming is the main purpose .

My question exactly ! why would you go for Siberia when you are talking about JVC and ROCCAT ??

Siberia's aren't the best of the headies in the market afaik...if you are looking for a decent pair of headphones in the 3kz price range...check out the ones from Phillips , Sennheisers or if you are lucky get Gainward or Zalman.

If you can xtend the budget ...then its a no brainer...get the Roccat Kave's...m sure you wont be disappointed....
 
i dont have 5k for headphones dude !

i went to nehru place but couldnt get siberia :( !

now im confused !

tell me one philips shp 2700 or shp 8500 or sennheiser hd202 !
 
Dont get the SteelS 3H they're a piss of sheet. :p

Your options are

* Phillips 8500 .. (very durable n rugged)

* Sennheiser 202 ... (good SQ + bass but you can afford more,, try for HD 435 etc maybe )

* JVC RX700 .. (the best bet if you can convince yourself for online purchase )

Oh n my personal favorite ..

Everglide S-500 .. boom boom headphones.. all around perfect .. got them for 3k frm NP last year .. dunno if its stil around.
 
got it on ebay for 1200 shipped using a discount coupon ! :)

they are nice but arent giving me satisfaction in gaming and my ears are a little big so they dont fit in the cups :(

i cant wear them for more than 2 hrs !

i can still give this to my friend and get shp 8500 if you guys tell me they are better !
