this is the second patch right ?? cause file size of 1st and 2nd is same :P..

first one screwed up my graphics and textures...hope this one fixes it ..

This patch does improve the fps , atleast for me.The fps is much more stable now while driving in Manhattan , but it crashes while adjusting the graphics options and clicking apply.

does it correct

cars gliding few inches above the ground :P.. and does it fix screen flickering problems + missing\broken textures ..

that are the problems ive been facing after 1st update.

downloading and patching the 2nd update ..will post back if there are any improvements :).

though i have original copy of the game..its actually irritating to changed dvds every now and then ..for playing GTA IV.

and also i dont want the disc1 to be scratched ...and make it useless in future.

is there any way i can play the game without the disc\ or by mounting an image(if an image can be made).

please note : i am not asking for any illegal stuff :P...i have a valid key which i got with the discs and also a rockstar social club account :)

its just that i dont want the dvd to be their in the drive all the time.

if mods find this violating any rules ..please delete the post.

tried the patch, the game runs much better now in terms of smoothness :P
niko movements are much more responsive . The new patch also brings a lot of new options under graphics tab...such as reflection quality, water quality, Definition (read blur ) etc...

the new patch disables ASI loader hence i cannot use some mods :(...

Looks like a nice patch :hap2:
