Budget 90k+ New PC build for 1080p (maybe 1440p) gaming under Rs 1.5 lakhs

Currently G.SKILL TRIDENTZ RGB 3200MHZ 16 GB DDR4 LED RAM F4-3200C16D-16GTZR seems to be prices cheaper or similar to the 3000 mhz, so if I can get it I'll take it, keep the OC option open.

So the story far, Ryzen 5 2600x, Gigabyte Aorus Gaming Ultra, G Skills Tridentz 3000 Mhz, this combo alone should save me approx. Rs 15K

The rest, Zotak 1070ti Amp Edition, Samsung 860 Evo 500gb Sata 3, seagae barracuda 1tb & thermal take v51. Any suggestion on these, I think they are fine.

I'll wait for Christmas sale to be better prices and if I get a good deal on upgraded versions will get those.

Please keep posting if you think of better option for SSD & Monitor[DOUBLEPOST=1543127307][/DOUBLEPOST]Can you guys suggest shops from where I can buy ??

^^ For going above 3000MHz for RAM on Ryzen, Modules with Samsung b-die chips are preferable. Don't expect to be able to run at 3200MHz just because the kit is rated for 3200MHz. There are in fact 3 variants of the GSkill 3200MHz kit. The one you referred to has the same Hynix chips as the 3000MHz kit. So, don't spend a lot more for that. Go for it only if prices are close. Most of these kits will top out at around 2933 MHz. There is one variant of it rated at CL14 that is guaranteed to have the samsung chips, but costs more.

FYI, I have Gksill 3600MHz 3600C17D-16GTZR which has Samsung b-die chips and currently running it at 3400MHz @ 16-15-15-36. I can run it at 3466 and 3500MHz with looser timings, but never 3600MHz.

For GPU, see if you can opt for a GTX1080 or even better a GTX1080 Ti since you are saving some cash from other areas.

Gone are the days AMD processors used to run hot. Now the new AMD Ryzen chips are best chips around with more cores/threads to price/performance ratio. AMD Ryzen chips are the best in multi-threaded applications while Intel still reigns in single-threaded applications. Intel is costly both regarding Mobos and processors when compared to AMD Ryzen.

PS: You need after market CPU coolers for Intel while AMD Ryzen provides its own stock coolers which are more than sufficient.

Basically any 3200 that is CL14 is b-die. There are some kits of 3200 CL15 or CL16 on that list that are b-die, as well.

^^ No guarantees on the CL16 kits being Samsung and even CL15 kits. Same case for the Corsair RAMs as well. They have used different chips in different revisions of the same SKU. So you end up with a lottery. The likelihood of being Samsung b-die is higher for low latency kits and even higher frequency kits. In any case, its beside the point for OP since he does not wish to overclock his system. Any RAM frequency above 2933MHz is considered an overclock for these Zen+ Ryzen CPU's

All this is over my head. I'm just going to stick with a 3000mhz either g.skills or corsair which ever is at a better price

i more thing, if i can't get a 2 channel 8 Gb kit can get a 2 of single channel 8 Gb kits, will there be any difference ??

Acer KG271 27 inch LED is a AMD freesync monitor won't it be an issue with Nvidia GPUs ?
 
So i'm Back.

Now i did go to Lamington Rd and got the following price

Samsung Evo 860 500Gb - Rs 7.8K
Seagate Barracuda - Rs 3.05K
Zotac 1070 ti Amp - Rs 34.75K (waiting for MSI 1070 ti Gaming price)

No Thermaltake cases available so just did some R&D and found Fractal Design Mechify C & NZXT H500i which should be under Rs 10K

So how about it, right now, without the case and Gskillz ram my cost is Rs 94.55K an over all it should be approx Rs 105K which is awesome.

Can you guys help with the cabinet ?
Will the MSI be better than Zotac ?
 
Drop the Gigabyte motherboard. Choose from one of these-
B450 - MSI B450 gaming pro carbon AC. This B450 board has better VRM than many X470 boards and extra features like latest Intel WiFi and Bluetooth. If you can't think of a reason to go for X470 then buy this and invest the extra money in a better CPU/GPU
X470 - Asrock X470 Taichi, MSI X470 gaming pro carbon or Asus ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING
Go for Gigabyte if you're buying their X470 Gaming 7 WiFi
Also for the same price and size get this NVME SSD instead of Samsung SATA https://www.primeabgb.com/online-pr...-pcie-gen3x4-m-2-2280-ssd-asx8200pnp-512gt-c/

Between Corsair or Gskill get whichever is the cheapest or has more RGB :p. Memory compatibility on Ryzen has improved so you don't need to worry much unless you're aiming above 3166MHz or want the tightest timing. If you're not planning on overclocking the CPU then forget about RAM overclocking because it is a bit more complex and memory stress tests takes more time than CPU stress tests. The choice between SATA and NVME is very easy. The NVME drive I linked you is way faster than 860 EVO. 860 EVO is no match for ADATA SX8200 pro. Also if you're not planning to overclock the GTX 1070Ti you might wanna consider the GTX 1080 if it fits into your price bracket. If you take my advise then I’ll tell you to buy a RX 580 at 19K for 1080P Gaming and 1440P at medium settings for now and upgrade the GPU after 2-3 years.

I'll go with Corsair, it is saving me money.
I have asked for a quote on the ADATA SSD of iit is under 8K I'll take it.

As for the gpu, sticking to the 1070ti as I don't plan an upgrade for another 5 yrs and am likely to get a 1440p monitor by April 19.

I'm looking out for 1080, if I get a good deal I'll get it

I'll be purchasing my setup tomorrow. Wish me luck

I know a guy who now's the a retailer in lamington. It is unlike anyone else will be quote these prices

So I got a lower price, I'll be trying to get a better deal tomorrow with my guy present.

Hopefully I can bag a 1080, though it seems unlikely, since I had to reduce my budget as I had to divert funds elsewhere

Best of luck. For the monitor try to get one with an IPS panel when you buy it.

Just paid the advance, delivery latest by Monday due to shortage of manpower

As few points raised by the guy.
2600x might be Overkill for non OC
B450 might not be enough for OC
ADATA servicing issue, he will keep me in loop if a better option is available for under 10K. ADATA is Rs 8,650

Sure I ahve no plans for OC but would like to keep option open if in future I might need it
Any thoughts or opinions ??
